You guys are pretty amazing at terrain, so i just wanted to see if you guys would at least try to attempt to make these pictures. This is just for fun i guess and to see what kind of ideas you guys can come up with. This is totally optionable so you don't have to do this if you really don't want to, i just like to see your guys' terrain cuz they are so cool and just for ideas as well, and of course having your terrain being put into the Terrain Hall of Fame. Have fun! Oh yeah, and you guys can also do or show any other terrain you guys want to do that are pretty cool that you just want to show us or something. Any terrain you want, it really doesn't matter, this is just a fun little project. Again, have fun! All of the pictures are from Final Fantasy 7.

Holy Shite. That'll take some work. I might try it, though mine will look crappy. Not tonight though, I'ma go to sleep before I try something like That.
Woot FF7!!! That's an awesome game. Are you gonna make a RPG? The one that someone made is kinda crappy. I hate it.
Are you talking about the RPG by Killer2001? Anyways, the easiest to do is the slums.
YEa they do need a new ff7 game cause it pwnz and that would be pretty tough to make since if you did all of ff7 that would have to be super mini parts O.o
YEAH!!! FF7!! But that will take a lot of work to do, waste of time... probably no pay

(but at least might goto terrain of fame)
I am probably not going to make a ff7 rpg because i probably would never finish it, but other people could use the ideas on this thread if they were going to make some sort of a rpg which is probably the main reason i made this thread and because i love to see your guys' terrain works, they are freakin sweet

lol, and to have your piece being put into the Terrain Hall of Fame

Heh, if I thought my terrain skills were up to this, I'd give it a shot. FF7 is pwnage, but I think some of those will be flat out impossible.
Although I say that most of those are quite impossible, at least to have them look decent. I have to admit, some of those images have given me some ideas.

Yeah, although some of the pictures are flat out impossible, they do give some really nice ideas. They also don't have to be like absolutely perfect, remember just have fun with it.
Damn. I've been working on a temple of the ancient piece for the last few hours. As of now, I've found the chasm relatively impossible. I have an idea, if anyone would like to try it, well, go ahead. I can do the temple easily. Well, for the chasm: Use a series of stacked cliffs. Place a few pylon auras, then place cloaked lifted barracks, enough to darken it to a near black, (grid placement is probably best). Then hallucinations exploding for the mist. Here is the terrain if you want it, I'm tired of this map. I'll contribute more if someone can get the chasm the right coloring.
Ok, i just finished the Experimental Tubes one, pretty easy to do. I am actually pretty impressed by what i did, so here it is.

Hmm, done without any stasis cells... It's not bad though.
I've been trying to do Cosmo Canyon, but ladders are really hard, I haven't found anything that really works for them. (Besides the doodads that have ladders in ice terrain, but I'm not using ice.)
Ok I see you Like Fff7 as much as i do.
yes i do like ff7
And i didn't use any stasis cells because they appear rocky and it would look horrible on installation terrain and i would probably only use them if they were broken or something.
Ive already done some of that stuff in the FF7 world map. theres only so much you can do with starcraft on a lot of that stuff.

I've made "three" FF7 type RPGs so far and each one covers a different aspect of the game.
1. FF7 Whole Game v1.2 - A brief rundown on the entire game in a hack n slash type environment with multiple players. Not very accurate but seems to be fun on battle.net.
2. Final Fantasy VII - Entire world map of FF7 to explore. This map focuses on battling enemies and gaining EXP to fight the bosses in each town. Also there's other things to do like Breeding Chocobos.
3. FF7 World: Part 1a - This map is a 1 player that strictly focuses on the storyline and an indepth battle system with materia unique boss fights. Due to the size and complexity of FF7 we will probably only continue to make Part 1b and stop there.
What else would you like to see with FF7 in Starcraft? I'm confuzzled.

heres my try on the test tubes. It looks better in starforge then in the game. Oh and I know it looks nothing like the picture

Since the test tubes are the easiest i went ahead and gave it a shot.
This is what i got.

After playing around though i got some weird effect and this is what it looks like.
Could be the inside of some computer game.

WHOA HOW DID U DO THAT masta?
I MUST NO
ur sprite u used on ur test tube is what i used ><
it really doesn't matter much but the experimental tubes in the picture are opened, just wanted to point that out

well, it seems that everyone has done the experimental tubes one, so who do you think made the best one so far?
Look at my post. I tried to do the temple of the ancients, but I got really pissed off with it. I even gave advice on how you should partake in making it. So no, not everyone has done the experimental tubes. Agh... well... I'm going to try it again.
