ok... i had this idea a long time ago of a snipers like map but with other units in it, like a 007 map, where u can get in unit "suits" and in vehicles and so, but i had so many ideas, and i was making a 40 tricks map (wich i ran outa locations and was close to runnin outa triggers 3/4 way through the map, then a new patch came out), and other maps, so i forgot about it. but recently i started to think about it again, and get new ideas and all... and i started making it room by room, and the few rooms i had had a trap sorta thing to them and i started thinkin that if i kept making things like this, more traps and all, then i could get sumdan koo. im not done with the terrain itself, and im still making it room by room, and with starforge brushes and all, that way i have perfect controll over the wall types and all, im planning on making the rooms, then laying down the entire map and putting it together, then adding in fillers between rooms... but heres what i have so far (note that each person will just start out with a civ, and they have to find a suit or something) :
THE COMPUTER ROOMcomproom2that last picture is the entrance cleaning room thing, like a micro fiber cleaner or sumdan, like in movies and all, u walk in, both the doors close, and hallucin explosions fill the room, then they fade away, like a smoke thing, then the fron door opens...
the computer room isnt too easy to get into right at the start of the game, u have to get to it, kill the couple floor traps, get in, and hope sum1 doesnt kill u while yur in the cleaning room, but once u get it u can use all the computers to yur big advantage, u can access security cameras (but only see 1 room at a time, so yull have to keep switching cameras), and u can turn on all the trap units all around the map (wall traps, floor and missle traps)... and other traps, such as..
THE FACTORYfactory2there will be a couple of, tanks, gols, and vults in this room, and also a wraith (but it has to stay in sub, unless the person can find a floor to sub ramp just big enough). also when sum1 is in this room, sum1 from the computer room can open the hatch in the middle of the room, sucking any1 in the room in toward the open hatch, if they step on it, they die (or be removed however, its supposed to look like they were sucked out), and the hatch closes again after about 10 seconds...
THE FURNACEthe door is always open, and if sum1 is in there when the person in the comp room closes it, the heat builds up in the room, and after about 20 seconds any1 in the room dies, but if the person in the room can kill the latch (burrowed player 12 unit) in that 20 seconds, the door opens and there fine, but the latch has alot of health. sum1 would go in here because theres a firebate suit, and powerups, like health and ammo and all...
THE BASEMENTu get down to a certain part of the substructure, and u have to walk along that small ledge, and if u touch the edge, u fall... and sum1 in the comp room can make the fans stronger (pushing u toward the edg), but if u manage to make it to the other side, i can hack into the cameras, and see every room (that has a camera in it) all at the same time, even after u leave...
THE GENERATOR ROOMthis room has 3 generators, (by the way, the fans dont push u at all), and there will be a trap over the broken fan(yull see why in a minute), sum1 down here can kill the generators, but itll take some time, they have alot of health and armor, but after they kill the first generator and alarm goes off, so every1 knows that theres sum1 down there killing them, then stops a few seconds later, after they kill the second one, the alarm goes off continually untill they kill the last one, after all 3 are destroyed, the lights go out in the entire map for every1, and the wall trap covering the broken fan blows up while the lights are out, and 2 zerglings come out of the broken fan and start attakin him... and after 5 seconds, the backup lights come on...
THE CAGEScages 2theres 3 cages, the top room in the last picture is the operator room, the door is always open on it, the other doors are closed, and have some zerg units in them (all melleers), sum1 can walk in the operator room and hit the switch, then the operator room door closes, and a second later, the cages open, the zerg units run out and wander around the map, attackin any1 they see, when it seems safe, the person in the operator room can hit the switch again, opening the door. the person in the comp room can see this area, but can effect it from the comp room. also after all 3 generators are destroyed, the cages open...
THE ARCHON CHAMBERarchon chamberthis room is high security, and has a spike trap at the entrance, the 2 towers have floor traps on them. from the computer room sum1 can open the archon door, but not the entrance door, but from the computers in this room, sum1 can open both... the archon is one of the most powerfull units in the game, u cant controll it though, it wanders around like the zerg units. the archon door opens after the 3 generators are destroyed, but not the entrance door, the archon can still go up on the floor with the ramp though...
THE ARMORYarmory 1armory 2this place is pretty normal, no trap or anything, but theres firebat, marine, and ghost suits in here, the smaller room in the back has powerups, such as health, ammo and all...
TEH DARK HALL (BUM BUM BUMMMMM)
dark hall 1dark hall 2dark hall 3this hall is a major part of the map, it is the main way between 2 sides of the lvl, and sum1 in one of those side slots things can see the whole hallway, the rooms next to it on the upper floor, are living corridors, they have suits and powerups...
THE ROBOTICS BAYrobotics bayhere u can walk in front one of the computers, and controll the unit thats behing the computer, but when u walk away from that computer, u dont controll that unit anymore, so therefore u can only use one at a time and u cant leave the controll while yur controlling it...
THE SAFE ROOMsafe room 1safe room 2here u can run from somebody and lock yurself in, safe from them, but after u come in one way, u have to run to the controlls to close the other door, and when yur in there u can see the cameras of a couple rooms near the safe room, and u can also see the computer room...
THE TELEPORT ROOMteleroomu can walk in the room and see something at the lower part of the room teleporting back and forth across that part of the room, and u can go into that top room and go to the comps, turn on the teleporter thingy and u get minimap pings wherever u can teleport, then u walk on the disabled beacon, then u will controll the comsat station, and u scanner sweep where u want to teleport, but it turns out that my plan on doing that wouldnt work because u cant do pretty much anything with a scanner sweep in triggers... so any suggestions how i could do that would be nice...
THE TEST ROOMtest room 1testroom 2the door to the lower part is always open, and theres a ghost suit in there, and other powerups, but when sum1s in there, sum1 in the top room can close the door behin them, traping them inside, then an electric charge thing happens in the room with an electric shockwave thing, killing any1 in there, if u played half life, the lab lvl b4 surface tension u should know what im talkin about...
thats it overall... any question or anything post em here... i also included the terrain map... i had 24 pictures in here, so i deleted some not-so-necsesary ones, and made other pictures links, so thats why most are links... this is by far the biggest thing ive ever posted, it took be up from 466 mins to 508...
if u have any idea or anything of that sort that i should put in the map, please tell me...
