Staredit Network -> SEN v5 Alpha -> New Web Browser version

Basically my old Firefox v1.0.4 went crazy on me. Windows somehow removed something important to run Firefox and it never ran, it always crashed.
So then I proceeded to re-download Firefox v1.0.4 and saw a new Deer Park Alpha 1. I went to learn more about this so called "Deer Park Alpha 1". I learned that this is the first release of the Firefox v1.1 which will have many updates.
I decided to give it a shot since SeNv5 will need a browser like this to test it. Basically it's a good idea because we will be testing the future in browsers.

Here's the version:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050531 Firefox/1.0+

New browser?
You sure it's not just a pre-release code name?

Yes it is a code release name.
I saw new because it's the new one that I'm using.
More like: "I'm using a new browser version which has many major code differences than the previous version"

Just eltting you know that some bugs I might encounter could be different for my browser version.

I guess this is pretty important, because by the time v5 is out this browser might be a big thing that everyone uses. wink.gif

Rexy! Stop reading my mind!
I like to keep my perverted thoughts to myself.

... except there should really be no big difference.
If there is, than firefox will die fast. It's not like they'll mess around with important browser functionality... like handling cookies.

It'll mostly be adding features, security and stuff like that.
The only big change I've seen is that this browser appears to have a big <center> tag all ofer the place. All the posts appear to have been centered.

I've only seen it happen on SEN and it doesn't happen on my site.

That's what happens to SEN in Opera. (According to Lisk)

it probably has tables inherit properties from it's parent tables...
<table width="100%">
<tr><td align="center">
<table>
<tr><td>Hello.</td></tr>
<tr><td>I should not be centered with "hello!"</td></tr>
</table>
</td></tr>
</table>

But I guess if firefox is doing it, it must be standard... *sigh*
Maybe I can do something in css to get it to align cells to the left by default.
Tell me if it's fixxed... It should be. Also let me know if anything got distorted by this change (mostly cells aligning to the left where it used to be centered). Between search + automatic replace and search + manual replace, I think I got them all?

Edit: Form elements do not want to obey! I'll fix this all sooner or later.

Edit 2: Okay! Tell me if you see anything out of place ;/

Does firefox 1.1 install over firefox 1.0.4?

It installs to it's own directory, if that's what you're asking.

I just installed it, it looks like it does treat everything like Opera does.
