Did someone fix this because I just tried Googling for it and nothing came up...
Syntax:
CODE
site:www.staredit.net v5

I don't know if it's been fixed.
Once I saw that they were starting a conversation about giving someone the SENv5 URL, I said that you don't have it. He said that he'll google it.
I preceded to google it faster than him. I tried all phrases and got nothing. I then went to SENv5 and looked at the source at it's META Tags. I put those in google and I got nothing.
I thought that he wouldn't find the URL so I left it there. Then I saw it... he found it out. He shouted the subdomain "1337v5" but not the complete URL. I still have no clue how he could've found it in google.

My suggestions:
-Change the subdomain.
-Remove ALL META tags, we can't have bored users searching for SENv5 in Google. They know it exists and that it's a secret URl, there's nothing stoping them from searching.

Intresting, I don't see how they could have googled it...

Maybe you should change it to a harder subdomain. Something like...

How about we just have a .htaccess wink.gif

Umm,
  • Change the subdomain.
  • Add a .htaccess (Like LW said) or something that only lets people who you approved in.
  • Beat the person who gave it out.

That should cover it all.

Google couldn't have just found it...
that's just illogical.

.htacess would only help if everyone here had stable or semi-stable ips.

Use .htaccess for passwording?

Couldn't you monitor who logged in and whatnot?

If someone gave out the url, they could just as easily give out a login/password.

Anyways, it really doesn't matter all too much. Yeah, it would be nicer to have new testers come in as varied stages... but it's not like it's going to kill anything if everyone found out.

If anyone does have the url, they aren't really doing anything with it. How gay would it be anyways to play with senv5 but try to keep it as secret as possible?

Trust me, google could have found it. That search engine is too powerful.

lol... yeah... right. Google doesn't just start querying random links from servers. They would get their asses sued. You have the ability to control how search engines treat your page with options like no cache, no link follow, etc. Caching random urls pretty much goes against everything...

Anyways... I know what exactly what happened.
