As you seen in turtorial when you make the tank siege mode (rocket trank) it still a lagacy, as in my mod i change locdown to ensure it also was ok but there is still lagacy.
When you edit existing abilities the sound and some graphics still stay, for tank sound and graphics when he fires from cannon , have you seen this, and for my ghost i heard still sound when i use ensure(lockdowan it was) i hear flying locdown missile and i thought so that with animation when ensure is fire is the rocket flying also but this is hard to say, this problem also need to pay attention blink.gif

Maybe by lagacy he means lagginess or something.. Hell if I can tell otherwise.

No it is still the same sound.
You should see more carefully cause the graphics when tank fires form his rockets on his turrert is still animation like he fire from arcticle shockwave cannon
The same thing happened when i changed in stargraf lockdown to ensure queen or kerrigan ability, so when the ensure is being used is played sound like lockdown rocket goes to his target, and i think so that graphics of the lockdown missile and ensure has the same speed and their animation's induce ( the ensure and lockdown missile)
Try on your own change ability and see more carefully and listen what is happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cool1.gif

No, It won't change the sound of when it attack's, The only way you can change the sound of the attack, It to make your own sound, Or get it from some where else that allows you too, From there you add it to your MPQ archive with the name of the Tank attack, And once the siege tank attack's, It will make the sound you compiled into the MPQ.

You might want to see a step-by-step process of the code of a tank firing.

1. The tank turret rotates toward the target.
2. A sprite of the tank flash is created at the mouth of the turret.
3. The sound file for Sieged Siege Tank attack is played.
4. The weapon data for the Arclite Shock Cannon set in Arsenal III is called.
a) IF: it fires a missile
THEN: the missile sprite is spawned.
b) IF: the missile has a creation sound
THEN: that sound is played
c) IF: the missile has a flight sound
THEN: that sound is looped
5. When the weapon appears on target, the weapon (not unit) hit sound is called and and the hit sprite appears on the attacked unit.
