I can't figure this one out, havn't needed it 'till now; but, how would you change or add unit animations? So like a .. Nexus had moving parts.
What do I use for this, and give a quick example or a link to a example/tutorial.

Too many variables for me to help you, sorry.
Be more specific and maybe I can.

Smacker editing in StarCraft only revolves around one file type, .smk. *.smk files are the portraits and other animations throughout the menus and selection screens in StarCraft. This is what we will be learning how to edit through this tutorial.

Here is a tutorial:

This is the closest your going to get to changing unit's animation's, Unless you are Iscripting, But that's what the unit does when it attacks.

Does that change the portraits and stuff, or the way the unit's images are displayed?

That is portraits and stuff, I am talking about changing the unit animations. Like putting little spinning things on a probe or something.

Okay, so what you use is, possibly MSPaint+RetroGRP+WinMPQ, but you'll always need ICE or IceCC, and either WinMPQ or MPQCompactor, and lastly MPQDraft.

And I'm saying you're not specific enough.
I'd need to give like 3 or 4 examples to be sure I'm giving an example of what you're talking about.

I have all the .grps, I just need to find a way to get them animated. Is that what I need ICE or IceCC for? Because thoes don't work...

ICE/IceCC changes animation scripts.
As in, which frames the unit uses when it moves, attacks, casts X spell, etc.
Well, it can also modify things like unit attacks, too, which I find quite useful.
It's like a school-play script editor: You change the script for the third scene, and the people will now do for the third scene what you changed it to.

IceCC doesn't like me...

C:\IceCC>
C:\IceCC>java -jar IceCCUI.jar
Bad command or file name

C:\IceCC>exit

And all the .exe files just exit when ran...

ADDITION:
Nevermind, I got it running. The batch file was messed up. Had to open .jar manually biggrin.gif

ADDITION:
Ok, thanks guys. I got it animated biggrin.gif

If I could I would close this. (Can't find the damn button!)
