Yeayeayea, leave them alone. It's their life, and if they want to do it (ugh...), whatever. How could it be illegal... thats so racistish.

I don't care about same sex marriages. I only care if they try to change the definition of marriage. It is their life let them do whatever they want just don't change the definition beacause some people.

Like kame, hammer and kaboom already said: It's not effecting me, it's not my life, it's theirs. Let them do whatever they want as long as it's not harming someone else.

Main arguments against gay marriage I've seen:

This is "serious discussion", not "random thoughtless trash".

If you're the voice of religion, yes, but that's not supposed to matter in America.

Tell me how "natural" marriage is. Humans are the only creatures I see that have this whole "marriage" business, and even so, it hasn't existed for their entire existance, either.

As I understand it, gay marriage in no way prevents anyone from having children.
In no way will straight-only marriage give gays incentive to produce offspring.
And since when do we need more humans?!

I have seen no evidence that homosexuality will somehow spread or is in any way contagious. And even if for some reason all humans were gay, then how would that stop them from having children? It would only mean that people wouldn't seek it out. And anyways, what about the people that aren't gay or straight? "Bi"s.

Same sex merrigage... I'll just say this, they can do whatever the hell they want. Funny part is, the government, in Canada at least, sort of approves of same sex merrigages, but not same sex divorices. Lol.

It's an obligation to the law, that's why!

who cares what gays do. and what would happen if a gay person wanted a child of their own and not an adopted child, just wondering?

I think what you're trying to say is "If you think it will never effect you then you may get married to the same sex some day." Yea... I must say... seeing all these homosexuals getting married makes me want to go out and marry a guy...

I don't think you can justify your means by using your one-sided beliefs as your proof. If God didn't want "gays" to get married, he wouldn't of created them.

This is a FREE country where everyone can live by their OWN religion. Are you implying that all Americans have to live by Christian rule!?! That's why the people who made this country are called PILGRIMS!?! Thats why this country is FREE!?! Think it over, man.

Big flaw in your arguement is that they aren't mating. Another thing you gotta take into consideration is that being gay or lesbian is a birth defect in the brain. One of the small organs in there is short in males, long in females. If a male has a long one, then they either turn gay or change sexes. Same with females. If you say they were never intended to mate, then you're saying that these people were never meant to be born.

Before you base your entire opinion on religion, do some research on PROVEN facts.

Personally, I'm pro-same sex marriage. Let them, damn. Why can't they, just because they're different. In fact, I'd say they're better, because they ARE different. We need more people who don't act like everyone, even if it makes them unable to reproduce. This is in no way saying we should all turn gay. Then I would just say we all turn straight.

Well Im already prepared to be flamed but I say to hell with Same-Sex Marriages. Just imagine the whole world, all of us gay. No one would be born...no one would live. God created a man to love a woman, not a man to love a man or woman to love a woman. Just my opinon, but when it DOES come down to it, as long as they dont personally affect me, I could care less either.

Mabye one of these crazy scientists will create an Ass-Uterus... Men could have sex and the guy would get pregnant and out the baby... just a thought...

Another arguement that MANY gays want marriage only becuase of the benefits they get from marriage. When animals mate, and in some species the male and female stay together for life, but when humans get together, we call this marriage. Marriage, by environmental natural standards, is defined to be male and female only. Are their other animals on this earth that are gay? nope, but there are some frogs and other organisms that can switch from being female to male, but thats not being gay.

Personally, I don't care. I know actual gay, and people close enough to being gay. Doesn't bother me much, those guys are good friends, and probably hell of a lot nicer than many people. Does it bother me that they're gay? Nope, but we do joke around about it.

I see nothing wrong with same sex marriage. But I do see something wrong if they start demanding special rights just because they're gay. Same goes for all other groups - if you want to be equal, you can't have any special rights either.

If anyone is going to try to say that this is hurting our country, please people, go look at rome and greece. Gays have been here forever, and they will be here forever. You can't change that. God, (or the way people were raised) decide wether you're gay or not. By the time you're a full grown adult, what sex you'll be into will be determined years before that for you. So you have little, if not any, control over it. Me personally, I'm straight, and I'm glad I am. Because if I was seriously gay, I would have to deal with a whole bunch of bullshit just to be with the person I loved.

Who was the one that said, "I say let gay people get married. Let them be miserable like all the rest of us."

Hating people for what sex they prefer is mighty close to hating people for what skin color they have. They're not the same, but they do share a lot in common. Generations down the road, the way look at racists today, will be the same way we look at people who hate gays.

You keep saying that "God didn't want it to be that way", well if God didn't want it to be that way, being the all-powerful deity that he is, wouldn't it never have existed? And then we'd never be having this conversation.

Watch out voyager. They'll try to use that whole, "freedom of choice thing", like they always do. Yet some of them then go off and complain on how parents need to be more strict to their kids and/or teenagers.
