Staredit Network -> StarForge -> Starforge Problem
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2005-06-16 at 21:08:03
Whenever I test out my maps made with Starforge; right after the briefing, the game crashes. Does anyone know why this is. One other question I have is: What do most of you use to put terrain in your maps, not wanting them to be the squares, Starforge doesn't work very well, neither does importing from StarEdit.
Thanks

Why are you blaming starforge for this crashing accident? If you know what things crash the game don't do it. Many people use starforge just fine without having their game crash.

Come here and see if those are the reason why your map crashed. If it does not solve anything post your map. Yes, don't use Starforge for Isometric terrain it is not that good. Use another editor if you want to use isometric terrain.

I was making triggers ,like those like I do now, but it kept crashing.... sad.gif
So now I make my maps with ScmDraft2 or X-tra editor 2.6....

If you are going to use Xtra 2.6 be sure to get the fixed version. Or you can do what the cool kids do stick with 2.5 cool1.gif

StarForge is not the problem. You're ignorance is.
StarForge is a tool that you are using incorrectly. If you cut down a tree and it falls on you do you blame the saw? Or do you blame the person who cut it? dry.gif

Thanks for the insight. I didn't mean to blame Starforge, I was just saying that was the program I was using. I honestly don't know why it crashes, so maybe someone could check it out for themselves. blushing.gif sad.gif

It might have something to do with the fact that every stat of every unit is set to 0. No wait, it does.
