Making someone do your map for you doesn't teach you anything. If you want to understand how to balance units in future maps, you should do it yourself and find out all of the different variables that effect balancing (Regeneration, Splash Damage, Range, etc.).
Yeah. Don't get someone else to do it for you. What's the fun in that? :\ In any case, please don't forget you won't be a good map maker until you've played with it some. After about your 2nd (usually at least) map you start to get the hang of things. Once that happens you should know what you're doing.
Like LethaL said, just toy with things. Hp, armor, speed and numbers are other examples of some variables.
I hope you have a good time making this map, and I hope no one does anything for you, as cruel as it sounds.
Balancing a map is very tricky. There are so many variations in "Health, hitpoints, spells, etc." You must keep all this in mind when balancing a map. I highly seggset you play some well balanced maps and briefly look how they balanced. Terrain is another aspect of the balance of the the map. You must keep in mind the way the units move and towards what region, how long it takes them to get there, and there range of shooting. Many complex aspects are involved, You must deeply go into mathmetics also, to be sure for timing, and that one force doesn't over-power the other unless directed too. You must also keep in mind the possibilities of overflows. Be sure to watch the size of your locations too. This is a big task however, it makes up for it in the end when everyone is playing your map xD.
Of course, the starcraft units are basically already all balanced. It just depends on what kind of units you're using.. and isnt there a tutorial for balancing?? (well there is one for amour etc.
Balancing tip: Don't make it too easy. If someone is being stupid about their defense, not only should they lose, but they should lose badly enough to make them feel their stupidy.
As for how to get whatever result you desire, it's all in the ratios of damage to health and unit speed, with number of units factored in on both sides. Also keep in mind the effects of damage type (normal, concussive, explosive...). The "sweet spot", what you are going for, is the point where a good defense built by the player takes down the enemy units, and a bad defense does not.
Just play around until you have it perfect, don't ned to read tutorials or anything gay like that. Also I always thought just making high hp and armor on units, and setting their hp low at the beginning, and slowly increase their hp on different levels.. so you can have hundreds of levels.
