I think this smiley face: censored.gif , needs to be changed to something a little less, "aggressive."

Because many times people use this censored.gif smiley, they use it in a light, joking way. The expression of the smiley however, shows the total opposite. Because this smiley has a mad expression so when people see this smiley directed at them, they get the first impression that it's a rant or an offense when really it's not.

For instance, let's say someone is just simply joking around, or just saying an expression very lightly. This:

"Meh, you can go -censored- yourself!"

looks alot less volatile than this:

"Meh, you can go censored.gif yourself!"

So I would say change the Censored image so that at least the face isn't red or have that mean look or scowl on his face.

I think it's fine. mellow.gif

ADDITION:
And if it bothers you that much, just do what you said up there. "-censored-"

I don't really care what the smiley look's like when you say a curse word. You shoulden't use it anyway. The smiley is fine, As long as it sais CENSORED right on the smiley, Then it's censored.

Actually most of the time I see that smiley is in flame posts from censored.gif idiots in the Serious Discussion forum wink.gif

I like smileys used in moderation, they can help show the way you are trying to express a sentence, like in a joking manner which might not be so easy to see as a joke without the smiley.

I also think there needs to be more words added to the censored list, and punishments for going around the filter.

If you think swearing is funny, you need to get your sense of humor checked. I am not making the smilie seem less threatening, because having it used in the first place IS threatening. Idealy, your posts shouldn't use them at all, you should watch your language. Seriously.
