I have recently come upon the problem of a Memgraft patch I made not doing anything whatsoever.
All files were in the correct places (mgpatch.mgd was in custom\ in patch_rt.mpq) yet nothing happened.
The patch did not start Starcraft.
Please provide assisstance soon.

When you try to load the patch what happens? Does it give you an error?
Attach the stargraft.pat file. I'll try to get it to work with memgraft.

I'm not using a stargraft patch, and there is no error involved, the memgraft patch simply doesn't do anything.

Always use a stargraft patch so you can save.

I had the same problem on an old computer.

I think what you should do is make it in stargraft and then send the .pat to me. I'll try to publish it in memgraft without changing anything. Then you try to publish it without changing anything. We will see whos thing works and whos doesn't.
Then we can get closer to solving the problem.
(I'm saying I don't know, but I'm willing to help you figure it out).

What are you trying to edit? There could be a bunch of problems that would give you that result, such as failing to put the new buttons in the right order, not editing the tech use requirement settings etc.

You don't need a Stargraft patch to use memgraft, and it's not the patch causing the problem. Ares III, what system are you running? Are you using a loader? Have you modified anything in the Starcraft folder? Are the install location and program location in the registry for Starcraft correct?

You can't save memgraft projects, so people use stargraft
a. becuase it has a friendlier interface (copy and paste and things)
b. becuase you can save and load projects

You have a 'ghost' Stacraft.exe process most likely. Go to Task Manager>Processes and end all processes named 'starcraft.exe'. If one won't end, there's your ghost. Restart your computer and it should work.

And if the process is still there, call the Scooby-Doo Detective Agency to see why your ghost won't leave tongue.gif
