ISOM is an old out dated program which I don't recomend that you use.

I'd recomend either Starforge v2.2 or SCMDraft 2 v0.5.5
Both are editors like SCXE but much more powerfull.
Both editors can be found in the Downloads Database if you're interested.

Under caution 3rd party editors are not reliable as SCXE but do work with ISOMetric terrain and smaller than 1x1 location, also enables other functions such as making a unit with 999% HP would lead up to 99990/9999 HP. But looks Invinced. ( also with alot more other functions )

Choatic, what do you mean by not as reliable, starforge is perfectly stable and reliable IF you know what you're doing, mostly it just crashes when someone tries to do something impossible with it (say, place unit #349327423, which causes an overflow problem) I cannot speak for SCMdraft, as I've never used it.

SF is not perfectly stable...

If you read some of the topics in the SF forum you can find a bunch of random crashes that are caused by quite commonly done things.
Namely this one:

If you open up the latest version of SCMD2, it's quite hard to crash.

I just think it depends what you want to use them for. I mostly use X-tra editor for triggers, scmdraft for terrain and sprites, and starforge for everything cool1.gif
Anyway Yomom just use scmdraft2 for the terrain. Scmdraft2 (not updated ver) is perfectly stable but no triggers.

Yeah, i'm very interested in making square terrain, but when I try to download the scm draf[t or the StarForge, it comes out on my desktop with a white icon with the windows symbol on it. When I click on it, it says " CLICK ON THE PROGRAM YOU WANT TO USE TO ACCTIVATE THIS DOWN LOAD AND CLICK OK." I tried every one of them but they either said: INTERNET EXPLORER COULD NOT OPEN THE FILE
C//:MyDocuments:********/Genii/shootingstar/..... or : STAREDIT CANNOT OPEN THE FILE STATED ABOVE (really) AND HAS CAUSED A FATAL ERROR. And my Starcraft X-tra Editor...

Is there any way to download it with out the white icon and I can make it open with a program that accualy opens it?

Thanks. laugh.gif

dude, those files are all zipped. Get winrar to unzip em. Not winzip, because winrar has all those funcitons and more. When you download that and install that, right click adn you should see "extract to"

Btw, SF has a nifty thing which scmdraft cant do. Copy and create terrain brushes that you want.

I use winzip, and everything works fine.
