Yes, It's possible to place on null terrain. But the units, are kinda whacked up. Like some 4x maps, they can run through unrunnablethrough walls. Then, when ythey get back on normal (non null terrain) the cant get over the walls. I want to prevetnt ehm from running over walls... I'll post the map cus I don't have screenies. it's unprotected and playable.. try it!
Btw, I posted this cus i don't want to make barrier triggers... but i got the location for barrier triggers down anyways
Thats what happens, a friend of mine (Chill) did a map like that and the unit's walk on water, through walls, etc.
I think there is no way to fix that.
It's because the units try to get off the null terrain no matter what, so they can walk over walls to get out. I made a map where you had to box a bunch of units into little boxes. It was pretty lame now that I think of it.
what? Oh no, they don;t try to get out. It's not like a unit unplaceable thing. it works fine and you can control them perfectly, its just that they can run over any type of terrain (minus the real null terrain)
Well, I guess ill just hafta use barrier triggers
Actualy, this reminds me of a glitch Farty showed me.
I don't know how well known the glitch is, or if Farty would mind if I told it(I seem to always be behind on glitch info), but it allows 2 units to be perfectly stacked on each other. When one moves, though, you have to do the glitch again.
Just because a unit is trying to get off the null doesn't mean that it'll be actively moving.
There are no terrain-based methods of stopping a unit from getting off null.
You'll just have to use locations+move triggers, or Dark Templar.
man, didn't you read the above post? They don't try to get off. You CAN control them perfectly. It's just that you can get them to run over any type of tile after that. THATS my problem -.- anyways, I'm using the location trigger thingy so i should really lock this topic now. btw, Beer knows what I mean if you don't understand me.
