Staredit Network -> UMS Production -> New Map In Progress: Army Defence [TEST]

Ok, my map is called Army Defence [TEST]. I have a question: How do you make the terrain not look chunky? What I mean is like every time I use the platform terrain on space platforms map, it always comes out in a diamond shaped way with some pieces of the background terrain in it. How do you make this 'chunky' terrain go into the smooth, straight, and non- 'chunky' way?

You start out with 8 marines, 4 ghosts, 4 hydralisks, and 2 dragoons. There is a place where you can get other units to help defend against the enemy. The units are: Scout, Wraith, Battle Cruiser, Hydralisk, Ghost, Archon, Dragoon, Marine, and Goliath. The enemys come out of the 'Dark Portals' and if they reach the end, wich is called 'Higher Elements', you loose. The defending takes place in the area called' Lower Elements'. There are 6 players that can play the map, 1 computer, and 1 neutral player.

About [progress]1%[/progress], so don't expect it to be done in the next 3 months!
If you have any comments, questions, answers, don't understands, you can PM me.

I still don't understand what you mean by 'chunky' terrain. Cound you post a screenshot of it? pinch.gif The concept of the map sounds decent; not necessarily original, but hopefully you'll make it good.

A defense without intense triggering shouldn't take over 3 months (Unless you take a lot of breaks and/or can't get on SC much).

Yea, Your map sounds pritty cool but how about talking about it a little more in detail. See having an acual outline of your map makes people interested. Show some Screenshots so we understand what you are talking about. Other than for that it sounds INteresting. I hope you finish it and i'm here is you need any Help smile.gif happy.gif

Ok first of all to make terrain Square you have to get starforge or ScmDraft2 they are both on this site. Second i told you hot to scrren shot. And third what you do to put a sig there is, if someone makes you 1 they will give you a link and you put it in you profule thingy and it will appear. Its not complicated. I'm sure you will get one eventually.

Hi! You stated that the ScmDraft2 thing Starforge can make the square terrain. I downloaded it at Storm-Fortress.net, finished downloading, saved it on my computer, clicked on the icon on my desktop, opened a menu that said: Choose the program that you want to open the file with and click ok after you clicked on the program you want to open the file on it. The question is: Which program do you use to open it? Here is a list of programs that I can use to open it:

-Acrobat Reader 5.0
-Imaging
-Imaging Preview
-Internet Explorer
-Microsoft Access for Windows
-Microsoft Exell for Windows
-Microsoft Paint
-Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows
-Microsoft Word for Windows
-Notepad
-RealPlayer
-SBC Yahoo! DSL
-Starcraft Installer
-Starcraft X-tra Editor (Base Mode)
-Starcraft X-tra Editor (P12 Mode)
-Starcraft X-tra Editor (Special Mode)
-StarEdit
-VIEW 32
-Windows Media Player
-WordPad
-Yahoo! Browser
-Yahoo! Messenger

If you could pick the right one to open the program, I could probally make Army Defence!
