the current bullet system that everyone knows of depends on kills, not how many times the unit shot
sooooooooooooo

make a location around the shooting unit the size of the unit's shooting range, and make conditions where everytime enemy unit comes within the location, shooting unit's player gets 1 less amount of bullets for every bullet the unit normally shoots (you would have to count the speed of the unit's normal shooting), now obviously the shooting unit will attack the enemy unit unless ordered otherwise

this wont be good if the unit is moving without attack or if it goes to a place without vision but within shooting range

EDIT: took out something wink.gif

Lol that 1 thing you should never say. There is no point to say it, I see that if you are wrong you want to back it up wink.gif. I'm sure there is already somhting like this. But good job for pointing this out.

A problem: what if there are more then one unit in the location?

That wouldn't be a problem... you could actually do this by just making it so it says "at least one unit" and then make a small location that follows the hero which disables the trigger if the hero is not inside. This would make it so when the hero is running, and isn't shooting, he doesn't lose ammo.

I ahev no clue what you are talking about.
Are you talking about my Accuracy Bullet System or regular shooting...?

o-0, the reason you've never seen that used is for the same reason you pointed out. If the unit is moving or something you will still be using up ammo. It's impractical.

doesnt what attilitus said work?

if u make a trigger disable the reducing bullets trigger when the unit is not in a location (which means that the unit isnt staying still), then there shouldnt be much of a problem except for the cant see part

If the location is following the unit, then wouldn't the location HAVE to touch the hero at least once every step?

He is talking about the Ammo system thing. Like in Mathrix's S.W.A.T.

The way i understand it he is just subtracting bullets whenever someone is in the units range at the rate equal to its attacking refresh rate.

I'm not sure what your getting at with the location?

The location would work if there is a delay between the centering... it wouldn't have to be a big delay just a small one. With some tweaking I am sure the system could work.

And the location following the unit is for when the unit is running and not actually shooting.
