i dont know if any1 else had this problem or not, but kenolis didnt work for me, it just centered the map on the elemental temple then a few seconds later everything went black... i waited and waited but nothing happend...

Im stuck between TH's and Tuxedo's, ill vote later, when my mind is clearer.

on Xenomaniac screen shots you typed screen shot 3 twice.

The second SS3 is supposed to be Screenshot 4.

I haven't voted at all. And who's to say I will vote for myself? I'm not gonna win this contest anyway. Please, I'm not in the mood to argue.

Anyways...Xeno's is by far the coolest and ambient in my opinion.

It's not about winning, it's about... Uh, something else... morals?
I just like seeing other people terrain.

Kenoli looks really cool but thats the only map i checked out so far.

In Alphabetical Order of File name:

Xeno: 9/10 - I've seen very few maps in which your hairs stand up.

Rantent: 7/10 - Nice usage of buildings and Sprites to create double story structures. Didn't really give the feeling of being in a Market Place, as they are crowded places.

Kingra: 6/10 - Nice combination of music, recall, scarabs and pylon aura. But I always felt like it was missing sea critters and many underwater plants/rocks.

Kamikaze.Kow: 6/10 - Felt empty, too much focus was given to tiles and the "Big Picture" instead of detail.

TheoreticalHuman: 7/10 - Nice usage of sprites, especially with the nice effect the Twilight Terrain did to them. But it felt more like a boulevard than a Forest.

Tuxedo-Templar: 8/10 - Pretty good effect with the cloaked untis, fire that grows and fire sounds.

Kenoli: 7/10 - Very good jungle theme, the E-Bay shadows make a feeling like the topmost part of trees cast shadow. Wind theme didn't appeal to me at all. Water was very good because of High Cliffs and nice usage of creep tiles to make it look like walking over water. Fire was ok, Wall Traps were good but the middle area seemed dull.

That's exactly what I was going to do, I'd also like to point out my Waterfall is IN the water. I never really had the time to fix all that though.

I voted for Xenomaniac liek omg he is so sexy.... the map is sexy too!

I never finished mine so I didn't vote for it. It was really just an experiment in creating an effect, and not so much in being something good to look at. I'm sure I could remake it to look high quality without too much trouble.

LOL i voted for tuxedos because of the flames . otherwise I would of voted for someone elses.

Wow, i'm really impressed by Xeno's and Kingra's They really pulled it off with the music and everything of the feel. I was not sure kingra was going for an underwater cave, but i felt really peaceful and nice while playing the map . Kingras coulda used more though as it was just... missing something. It woulda been nice to see like a few buildings down there and people you can talk to like it was a village, a nice blue village . I voted Xeno, cause it's theo nly one when i was playing and found i couldn't go further into the map, i died to play more!!! it really had me feeling like it was a completed RPG, but it left me hanging. As for rantent's map, i think it's got the best terrain and blended terrain, which is rantent.... But it didn't give ambience of a market.

As I said some time ago, it's hard to make starcraft feel happy which is what I originally went for with a market, then it all fell apart and I just made it sorta depressing. Which is why there isn't a lot of action, it was meant to be a slow town, not a hustle-bustle market.
Looks like Xenomaniac has it though, gj.

Should I still add it to the contest?

well yurs felt depressing and kinda creepy, like a big open lonely place, even though there was other ppl there, it still seemed like that, to me at least... and by the way, kow has an updated version of his map... its aLOT better...
