Void Wars


Players:2-6
Game type:UMS/Arena-ish
Tileset:Space

-Starting the game-
When the game starts, choose 4 abilities by stepping on a beacon one after another. The abilities you choose will be in your ability box(shuttle) left of where you chose your abilities. Hotkey your shuttle.

-Playing/Objective-
When everyone has finished selecting their abilities, they will gain control of a Battle Warrior(Zealot) with 5 lives on the leaderboard. Win by being the last Battle Warrior standing. The abilities you use will require mana(gas). The number next to the ability is the mana cost. When you have enough mana, you can drop the unit from the shuttle to use the ability.

-The field-
The field has a lot of separate platforms which has beacons on them. walking on one will move you to another platform.

I planned on making this map require some thinking. You should choose your abilities wisely,thinking whats good and ultilizing the abilities you have together to kill the players.

This map is almost done, but I am not sure if everything works. I need some poeple to help me test if everything works. If you would like to help test and send me feedback after you are done, you can talk to me(PDF_Shadow) in channel Op PDF@usWest.

I will post screenshots after I have everything done.

heh As usual, I'll beta test mwhaahah. smile.gif I've got some skills in triggering etc, so i won't just be a dumass tester like wtf HOW DID YOU DO TEH RBING COMMAND OMGWTFBBQ!onetwo!! yea =P

Huh, i thought this was the forum for file requests.... Owell. Guess i'll test since i read all that garbage above...(god it was so extensive and complicated).

I'll test, I'm proteusnexus@useast , I know how to trigger, and am begining to get a sense of troubleshooting.

Out of curiousity, what sort of abilities are there, and how much would one affect the game? It seems like if they were overpowered you'd have people trying to keep out of range of other abilities while getting close enough to use their own, while if they're too weak it's just hammering units into each other. I'm curious to see what you've got in store.

If you're still testing when I get home, I'd be open to testing :]

You get a battle warrior that has 200 shields and 200 hp.
I haven't planned on putting an abilities like 1 hit KO with them. Using the abilities you choose might require some thinking. There are offensive and defensive/support abilities.Some defensive/support ones are abilities that prevent players from running away, restore shields, and random teleport. Offensive ones are like setting traps, explosives,adding extra damage,reduce players shields to 0 and such. There are a few more abilities in the map that I have listed there.

ADDITION:
Ok I think this map is pretty much done and everything. But I still have the feeling there might be some bugs in it. You can download and play the map with friends or people on my first post. Feel free to give feedback and suggestions.

Yo this map is pritty nice. You have nice terrain and a outline which is good. I recoomend that when you choose your skill that your civ is taken out of the beacon and put into the middle. IT just makes more sense that way. I didn't exacly test the whole thing sense its a 2 player thing. I just noticed some problems when i started out. Over all though its good so far.

Thanks, I guess I can make the civs do that. The map is more fun if you play with more people. The map can allow up to 6 people to play on it. What problems were there when you started out?
