Is it possible to make unit paralise other unit, when it atacks?
If yes ,then how?

First of all, there is no direct way to identify a bullet being shot and targetting a unit, so a unit 'shooting' and not killing (death is usually an indirect way of estimating a unit killing another) the unit, but instead wanting to paralyse the unit is impossible. (I guess)

Other people might have different ideas.
For the paralyse triggers you can preserve order the unit to its location, but then again, someone has to come up with how to indirectly identify a unit firing at another unit first.

U see,in my RPG, u must kill ,a say,hydralisk...
When it attacks u, your unit paralysis for a few seconds...
I tryed to put location centered on hydralisk, and made a trigger ,when u bring your unit to that location, give your unit to p12, wait ,give unit to u back, wait and preserve....but if hydralisk isn't attacking?
Any suggestions?

You could always make a mod and add a 0 mana cost lockdown effect to the units attack tongue.gif

Kinda a lot of effort for this, though.

Actually it would be really easy to make it so your hydralisk would lockdown things with it's attack with mods.

However back to UMS mode, no, unless it's a spell, you can't do it.
If it's a spell you make the units effected by the spell move to an illegal location constantly (hyper triggered) for a few seconds. This will "paralyize" them.

Your hydralisk isn't attacking because you gave your unit to P12. Computers and humans dont attack P12. You need to make you unit be given to a player that is an enemy to the hydralisk.

Honestly, I have no idea of what you mean by "paralyze." Would someone please explain to me what he means exactly?

No I meant, when hydralisk is attacking ,it paralyses your unit,
but if it isn't attacking ,if your unit is invisible, and you bring your unit to hydralisks centered,it still paralyses....

Well, about mods...I don't really know how to make them...well actually a read topic in da mod making assistance...but every time I make mods, sc crashes...
But I will try...And someone tell mey how to make mod ,that it would go on use map setting?

For your last question, just to clarify. Mods can't be played with regular SC, so you have to find a way to get people to play your mod. However, you can make UMS maps on mods too.

And how is that? happy.gif

Because a mod usually just changes the units, spells, some ai, the command pad and unit animations. With MPQ Patch, you can patch the starcraft campaign editor so that the units and other specific changes are from the mod you created. Then from the patched editor, you can create missions and triggers just like a normal editor.

Then again, the created map can only work if it was played on the mod it was intended to be created for, otherwise any changes of the mod will not be present.

Edit: Any assistance in creating the spells can be requested from the mod assistance forum. smile.gif
