So, how do you vent your rage?
I look on the bright side.
I dont (or at least try not to). I find it stupid to vent my rage on people. Like psychotemplar, i look at the bright sides

You can't look at the bright side with sunglasses!
WITCH WITCH! BURN HER!

I agree, venting your rage on people is a bad thing. But "looking on the bright side." Is not a good way to vent your rage. Infact, I don't even think it does vent your rage.
Make you less stressed out, yes.
Less angry deep down inside, not really.
Unless you get into ego defence mechanisms, in which you just lie to yourself to make yourself feel beeter. Or completely over rationalize something, then ya. It would work.
Rather than expressing my anger, i just tell myself to calm down and relax, take a few good deep breaths, and soon most of my anger will be gone.
Seriously, some people in our world just simply cannot contain or diminish their anger, like my parents.

I mean don't get angry, by looking on the bright side. Be happy with what you've got, people have it worse than you kind of attitude.
I take it out on..everybody.
Whoever I can talk to gets to hear me complain.
If they're not my friend, I cuss them out. If you were in the shoutbox about three nights ago you'd know what I mean.
Poor krazydrunkking.
Hmm, I try to meditate or calm myself down if I'm angry, flaming noobs is just when I'm bored and want to piss people off because it's funny, especially on b.net

. It's like watching that show American Hotrod on the Discovery channel, that dude nicknamed BlueBear just messes with all the new guys' minds it's funny, he pisses them off just to make them angry. Most of the older more experienced guys realize to just ignore it, but some of them just get really pissed.
When angry you must realize that there is no reason to be angry. It won't get you anywhere, and once you are calm you realize that being angry was just a waste of time, it's like you have two different points of views when you are angry and calm. Once you are calm your whole point of view on the issue changes and you realize that being angry was stupid. Like sometimes someone gets you really angry, and you really want to get revenge and make yourself remember how angry you were because of what they did, but then later when you try to "get" angry again you realize you aren't as mad as before.
I'd say I have a very high tolerance level, I can take a lot of bullshit before I get pissed

Halo does the trick...
Well, I don't often experience actual rage, but if I'm having a bad day in general, a game like halo or supper smash brothers really helps.

So if you got fired from your job after working there for 20 years, you're just gonna say to yourself, "Gee, I had it easy my entire life. I should be thankful that I lost my career, because many other people have it worse than me." If you can honestly do that, then that's good. (And maybe, you should even write a book on how you do it) But I don't think most people can suppress their anger with something like that. And I'm one of those people.
EDIT: Bob said it exactly right.
Usually playing games sometimes feed my anger. It happens way too much when I get frustrated over not being able to do something or when I make stupid careless mistakes. It makes me frustrated, therefore making me more vulnerable to anger.
That's why you got to stay away from games that frustrate you. And if ALL of them frustrate, you'll need to find an alternative.

I wouldn't be "thankful" that I lost my job, sure I would be pissed, but there's not much you can do about it, unless they fired you for no reason or something unfair. Other than that I would just move on with my life, being angry will just screw you over even more. I would just start looking for another job. I'm sure working at one job for 20 years will be a good thing to have on like a resume or something. I'm sure you won't end up as a homeless bum living on the streets.
It depends the level of rage. If iI'm super angry (like when Nikita, Rave_Mastuh[M] on battlenet, stole 80 dollars worth of games from my home after i invited him over. I made his life miserable after that (i think he will soon start to regret it, half the people n class finally realize what a(n) _______ he is(put in any bad word you can think of, trust me it will fit perfectly). When its just someone annoying me, i just shut it out.
Some mods here on SEN have bad tempers sometimes. When they get mad, they just dont back down even after the other dude apologizes. I guess it's just the way we're made.

Exactly. For that little time period, where you just got fired, you got a lot of actual rage pent up. Especially if you really liked your career. Optimism can only help us animals so far. And there is a good chance that if we don't vent our rage correctly, we would misplace it onto your children or spouse. Or some stranger on the street.

Hehe.
I use the good old 1984 method of doublthink and just forget about it with doing some activity (unless its something i can learn from)
THE END
I do what Millenium does. I realize that the anger isn't going to benefit me or cause a likeable outcome in the long run, so I think it over and breathe until it disspiates and I can deal with the particular situation with a clear unbiased mind.
Unfortunately only a few people on this earth are capable, or willing, to do such a thing. They'd much rather do it the easier way...
Um.. its diferent every time. But last time, i needed to destroy something, but not regret it. So I had this giant spanish book and...
Heh, i dont "vent my rage" much... Only when my day was extremely terrible. very.
PS- Yea, i didnt need the spanish book either, the year ended and yada...

I wouldn't call the other way easier, it's pretty easy to just breath deeply, let it go, meditate, realize it's pointless, blah blah.
Meh but it does take a person with a brain willing to think to do that so I guess people do just like to do the physical alternative.
