Well, I've been flamed in the sen channel because I paint, as opposed to wasting a hundred dollars to make a bunch of uniform, unpersonal crap, (IE, photoshop). Supposedly "it's the future", despite being an entirely different motion of the hand. I don't care if you can touch it up and do this and that with your programs, I don't care about the newest cyber brush, omg, just like real, I don't paint with just a brush. I use my hands to get a smooth background, my fingers to get a chaotic sort of effect, and in this one, I experimented with a new one, using my finger nails to scrap off paint in thin lines. probably not the finished work. Most of the piece is unintentional up until a certain point. Honestly alot more soul in this then any of the "uber cool signatures and grafix omg w3 r su 1337" you can make with photoshop. Not very well shown in the picture, but you get the idea. Title is Sad Satan, as I saw a dark Sauron-esque figure after merging and mixing the colors around, and adding black, etc, the references in a few Led Zeppelin songs to Mordor and Sauron, and lastly, if you reverse "If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now, it's just a spring clean for the May Queen. Yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on" (Stairway To Heaven) it sounds like "Oh here's to my sweet Satan. The One whose little path would make me sad, who power is satan. He'll give those with him 666, there was a little toolshed where he made us suffer, sad Satan." Damn... he'd I type up all this that quickly? Anyways, here's the painting:

ohh, what a sad story.
your camera still sucks though
I made a topic about the satanic backwards songs, and if you researched, Led Zeppelin has ALREADY SAID that they never put that there. So why would they make that their cover.
Anyway, the band is over!
But hey, thats a cool pic! The stuff to the left and right are so cool and awesome.
Id say it looks like another warp to hell if you ask me.
I agree on the part about ps... people think they have talent because they can render the shit out of everything and do something only everyone else with the program has done before.
...but I still don't like the painting, due to personal taste.
ADDITION:
...Except that you'll probably spend more on art supplies than people spend on PS.
I enjoy painting alot more then digital editing. Don't have to like it, I see things in it myself that I'm not a big fan of. To be honest, it was essentially a big smudge in the middle that I tocuhed up and gave dots for eyes.
Yeah that's why I prefer old school paintings... as soon as 4 boxes became art, suddenly everyone was a genius painter.
With the exception fo the shadow of the black figure, really everythinng in this painting was done with intention. I put a bit of back in to shade it and eventually I just had something. First time I've ever done that, though. Modern art sucks, by the way.
