i dono if someone has stumbled across this b4 but i found a way to make stumps...on jungle terrain or any with trees, well u come out with something like so:

user posted image

i just placed the doodads with scxe and then opened the map with sf when to sprites layer and deleted the sprites (which is only the top part of the tree, not the stump) and all your left with is the stump i think it looks kinda kool, maybe sumtin neat to add to an rpg or something i dono this may be interesting for some ppl...but theres one bad thing about it...u can only place them on the terrain it was made for...like dirt trees can only be placed on dirt terrain ect.

anyway i figured someone would find this useful for some creativity or something iono but there u go...lol

This has already been done, and Starforge destroys the doodad section, meaning you can place them on any terrain, but it won't look good, like most square terrain.

yeah i no sf uses sprites instead but their cut off at the bottom bc it takes the bottoms off of the doodads so then u can place them anywhere bc its only the bottom where u need a specific terrain to place iono i dont no how to word it but ive never seen stumps anywhere >.< owell

Sonic: SF uses the same that SC does: terrain + sprite. You can place it and then kill the sprite, yes, but that's a crappy method and SCMD2 would readd the sprite.
You can find the tiles of the bottom of the doodads in the palette, or in the brushes window if you import the brushes for the tileset of your map.

wow... um this is only like 3 years old news? Anyway SF is alot easier jsut open your terrain pallet and scoll all the way to bottem I think they are below the bridges... And you can place the stupd like that... If you want it to become a tree though you will nee to put a tree sprite on top of it
