Yes... I know what you are all thinking "OMG ANOTHER MAP!!!" But if you read through this thread you will see... it isn't a RPG like all my other maps... it is an Arena map which I believe to be my true calling. I get bored making rpg's because of the boring triggering... But arena maps are actauly fun to make and I can make fast paced ones or slow ones. This is a Slow Paced game... Now... Lets get to the map.
What You Do:
What you do is try to eliminate the other players from the game. However this is not as easy as it may sound. This map is Turn baced and each player will get 3 actions to Move, Attack, Ability, Item. When you move it takes up 1 action so if you move the whole turn you can move a total of 3 "blocks" A block is a square on the grid. The grid is 9x12 "blocks". When you Attack you can attack anysquare within 2 squares of your current position. 2 up down right left or 1 diagonaly. Attacking takes up 2 actions and bring the other players Health down 10%. When you use an Item it takes 1 Action. Items will do many things. Some items will warp you to anysquare. Some will do bonus damage. When you use an Ability it takes up 3 Actions. Abilities are very powerful and can sometimes attack more than one person.

I am sorry to hear that RPG is not your type of mapmaking anymore.
But you moved on to Arena mapmaking thats cool, this one shall be something that I would want to play in the arena type maps out there. Well good luck on this one Odd, and I want to see this one once it's all done and finished with.
This looks very interesting...what (if you don't mind my asking) was the trigger group that you used for teh movement system?

Its kind of crude but it works to my purpose...
I preplaced Burrowed zerglings for P8 under every square exept the one you are standing on... I have it so that when you bring the location surounding your marine to a P8 Zergling it changes to a P7 Zergling and the place you were on changes to P8. Then I enable a switch that makes the marine not able to move.

Anyway, I was wondering if you're going to use a firing system for the map, or just how are you handling attacks... I think it would be neat if you could pick up weapons. (That don't simply change your unit like some lame weapon changes)

When you select your attack option a scourge will be created over your unit and it will display You make shoot up to 2 spaces. If your really good and can move diagonaly each time you could even shoot 6 spaces... But it is VERY had to do... Anyway you move your scourge and anywhere within 2 spaces of you can be shot at. If you move it onto another marine it will fire taking off 10% of the other players health. This will take 2 actions out of your 3 so you can move 1 space after attacking.

Attacking system sounds great! Can't wait to see this, and once your ready for tester's can I be a tester for ya'? Just wondering....If you are not looking for tester's currently at the moment I will just PM you if I can be a tester when the time comes. So good luck with it until you get it finished, then the luck stops there and moves with you on another one of your maps.
Im actualy jsut asking random people in channel op SeN Whenever I am on to see if they want to test... I am having some troble with my attacking system but expect me to figure out most glitches tommarow or the next day... For Now Ill just answer any questions you guys may have...

Shinras map is Turn Baced but he has ARMYS Mine is 1 person moving around the bord gathering items and trying to destroy the others without dieing himself. if you actualy read my thread and his thread you will see the difference....

Well, thanks for the clarification. I did read the first post. However, I didn't pick up anything that said you controlled one guy instead of an army. By then, reading eliminating the other players, I assumed it was an army. Sorry about that.
Overall it loks great. And odd, make sure you finish this one

Im not sure how fance I should make them but... I Hope to have some special effects... Some abilities will require certain ammounts of items to use.
Example of a type of ability:
Whirlwind:
Items Required: Magic Fan
Effect: Does 20% Damage to ALL Units Within 1 Blocks Of Your Current Position
As you can see abilities will be very powerful but will cost 3 actions so you will NEED to be in the right position since your last turn
ADDITION:
Ok... Somehow I managed to mess up my map trying to figure out how to add in the attack system properly... I will need to restart the triggers which shouldn't be to bad... BUT... I believe I will probably jsut use an attack system where you chose who you want to attack and if they are not in range it wont work... It will be easier that way...
If we can make the turns go faster/have a bigger army, this could experience quite a bit of popularity good luck odd, and FINISH THE MAP!
How can I make the turns go faster? If you know what your doing the turn will only take about 5 seconds each person...
I can't have an army mostly because this is based around 1 person not an army

I think you should put that in your first post to prevent further confusion. See, I'm not the only one who thought it was an army.
ERmm.. Just a suggestion. I think you would make the ability for players to disable those every move messages like
"You can attack. move to 2 squares where you would like to attack to"
and
"You have X moves left"
"You may move 1 square"
any of those repetitive messages.
I personally find the messages in RPGS and other maps very annoying >.<
ya as Im redoing some triggers Im also redoing alot of the messages... It will only say that you can move and thats it... You will be forced to keep track of your own actions... I am also going to try to redo the terrain...
