How would you imagine the end of the world?
Apocalypse? or the scientific theory? plz say about your opinions
ok
the apocalypse is my favoured theory for the end of the world. religious ideas are just plain bulls**t but the world is (in my opinion) very limited in time left. i believe that a natural ouccurence will wipe us out, and all we have done. however, this would nt destroy the world. i believe that humans will have to start from the stone age again and work back up the evolutionary ladder ( to quote charles darwin) this is a personal theory, plz dont take the p**s of it.

um... so u r disin religious beliefs( AKA ME ) and so what is the real theory you think that is happening?
Jynoh, no offense, but alot of religion is complete bull. Religion is scientifically baseless.
As for the end of the world, we'll get wiped out by something natural eventually.
i agree. I personally believe that some religion such as new bibles are just propaganda. science and logic hold the only answers and reason for everything.
however, an apocalypse of sorts will happen and effectively start human race from the beginning, after dinosaurs (unless ALL life is wiped out)

Ok so in this..bizarre theory, we will just leave out the huge 200 foot dinosaurs right? They're nothing important in history, let's just say they never existed! You said yourself start the human race AFTER dinosaurs, will a new species die out every time we do this?
SideNote: I can tell you are very narrow-minded and will be one of those "I'm right your wrong" kind of people...
Well, if 90% of life on earth was wiped out, It'd be hard to say anything about what would happen. There are too many variables.
We'd most likely <in my opinion> get screwed from our own disputes. The wars are going to get us all killed. Just imagine a world full of war and suffering. Nuclear technology gone wrong may also get us killed <once again opinion> If anyone had anything to say about this, I don't really give.
I think the world will end in one of these three ways
a. A supervolcano will erupt, and throw the world into another ice age (theres one under yellowstone that would effectivly destroy most of the US, and cause problems such as acid rain all over the world.
b. We end up killing ourselves somehow (nuclear war, pollution, ozone layer etc...)
c. A big meteorite will hit, nuff' said.
d. Aliens will kill us all (jk)
The most likely of all of these seems to be the supervolcano theory, although I'm not certain if that would wipe out the entire world, or just a large portion of it. FYI yellowstone's volcano is overdue to erupt

1. We'll all run out of resources and then eventually wear off.
2. The Nuclear Apocalypse.

Eventually in one of the World Wars somone will nuke somebody, then they'll get nuked back. Then the ally nukes them too. Then they nuke the ally. Then they get an ally that nukes the ally. Then the ally nukes the ally and then the place that got nuked second gets another ally and nukes the new nuker's ally, and then a huge secret nuke will be launched by one of them and soon enough
Either the world will start over with very few people.
Or end up dying.
If we do end up getting into a nuclear war, there is no way that they'll be any time for Yellowstone to do any damage to us as we'll have killed each other off. if we do however avoid a serious confrontation like that, then Yellowstone or a meteor will probably pose the biggest threat. The threat of meteors will probably drop steadily in the near future until we are able to prevent them from getting to Earth's atmosphere or causing any damae, but we're kind of screwed with super volcanoes or a large flood. Remember that Antarctica is melting, and if a side of the ice sheets collapses into the ocean, the sea level will rise by many meters which could reach a lot of highly populated areas and limit the land space even more. if the Antarctic shelves continue to melt, then most of the ice may collapse into the oceans and then the sea level will be about 80 meters higher around the world (80 meters is just a random estimate). That would be devastating to modern culture and civilization.
Actually, if the ice caps melted, the sea level might a few meters, flooding only the very-low beaches. I doubt that the Yellowstone thing will happen, and humans aren't stupid enough yet for nuclear holocaust. Let's worry about the real problems of today, like overpopulation and lack of resources.
How I imagine the end of the world?
Hmmmm, pretty much the Book of Revelations describes some of it.

yup, and in some chapters of luke or john (not quite sure). one goes like this:
as lightning that strikes in the east is visible from the west, so will be the coming of man.
no. all that will happen is:
1. the entire world apart from the planet itself will b destroy ed
2. from the beginning of life on earth, everything will happen according 2 history (ie wwI & wwII will happen again)
3. at a certain time, 1 will happen again at we will start from scratch again
ps: im only like that bause usually i have a gd idea of wat im saying

i disagree. IF the polar icecaps melted, the sea level could and probably would rise an awful lot. i think i heard on ce i heard 90% of water on earth is frozen. if it melted...

!
Too bad there's no way for us to somehow refreeze the water and stock it back on the polar ice caps.

Don't forget that one city near Great Britain that is completely under sea level!

Well, we're talking about the end of the WORLD, not the end of costal cities. I believe the ozone layer will be slowly destroyed. My worst fear is aliens, most people don't even believe in them or think its funny. But there could be just another planet in a different galaxy with actually humans, just humans in much higher technology, they could want total domination. I don't think the supervolcano would ever erupt because we'd notice it existed and find a way to stop it. I also believe in the nuclear war, there's a popular quote: "The love for one country, leads to the hate of another". We all want our own opinion and we all want to fight for it. I think it'll turn up to be a religous war.

some Scientists actually believe that in about 2030-2040, we should get a sign from aliens- the "aliens" may not be living on any kind of planet, but can be dwelling in some moons. They say its true.....
A friend told me that the Aztec calendar was the most accurate calendar in the world, and it still is. That calendar stated that the end of the world was in 2022 (I think it was June 22nd)

But those Aztecs were all whacked out on Psylo Psybin (Psychedelic Mushrooms. That's why they sacrificed humans to the gods) so they could "prophesise" the end of the world cause they're all whacked out! lol
But who knows?
If we keep having idiots in the whitehouse, then yeah, that will be the end of the world

Hey, you think they were whacked?! Look at the people that made "The Day After Tomorrow" The polar ice caps melt...and then they suddenly freeze...wtf?! How can they melt one day and the next day be frozen again, do the greenhouse gases just reverse and make the ozone layer thicker?
Ever hear that "Day After Tommorow" is a movie?
Yes I do know its a movie. I like my movies to make sense, and have SOME kind of science behind them. Even a little would do...
How would you like to watch a movie in which the story goes something like this:
Sally came home from work one day, to find her husband dead on the kitchen floor, she quickly calls an ambulance and when they get to the hospital, Sally also dies, and then everyone in the hospital dies, the whole city is dead, and before you know it, EVERYONE IS DEAD. just BECAUSE.
(I loved sally's husband

)
Well, it's probably because I didn't pay too much attention to the movie itself, but it still didn't seem to show any proof of being possible, so I'm saying those people were whacked for showing us a way how we will all die.
