You could add a different 'unit' (eg. marine) somewhere else and add the powerup, then when you want to use the bring condition (or w/e) you can use the 'marine' at "somewhere else" that's associated with the powerup in the "unit" part of the trigger.
(eg. Player brings "Marine [which counts as the powerup]" to somewhere...
-or-
Player doesn't brings "Marine [which counts as the powerup]" to somewhere...)
This might work, although I dont know the situation, so it might not... I hope it does.
