This is the map that inspired me. I first fell in love with Starcraft by playing its scums, not so much the campaign. My brother introduced me, and I got the hang of how the game worked, and we would play on a network. After my learning experiences, he introduced me to one of his favorite maps, the amaizing Operation:Suicide. I fell in love with it immediately, and it has lasted as my all-time favorite map. Here's how I rate it.
Creativity: 8.5 - Not your ordinary defense/assault map. Very well put together, with little cool "extras."
Terrain: 9.0 - Though not incredibly exciting to look at, for some reason it has the perfect feel for an near-impossible struggle, with hills and ramps in all the right places.
Orginality: 8.0 / 10.0 - Again, not the most original concept. Still, pulled off in a new way and like I said, there are subtle twists and turns that make for a nice game.
Complexity: 8.5 / 10.0 - Pretty complex. A good amount of triggers, and a reasonable amount of tactical skill to pull off a victory, especially in coordinating forces with teammates (i assure you that you can't do it alone).
Fun Level: 10.0/ 10.0 - To me, this game just has great charm. I believe it is largely because of the teamwork it requires, and the pure adrenaline that seeps from your sweat glands.
Overall: 9.5 / 10.0 - A true masterpiece, and a benchmark I've tried to live up to when making my Queen of Blades map. Remember that this isn't an average. There is just something so intangibly beautiful about this map. Both versions are significantly different, and are both worth checking out.
