It's very helpful. But, it is quite a big... erm... I can't think of a word. Help me out here!

It's hard to grasp at first. You have to read that tutorial for a moment to understand it.

Thanks a lot smile.gif interesting stuff. Never knew there was so much to starcraft.
ill experiment a bit. And have all the players been experimented with, or select few, and those were the results (the bottom of tutorial)

Well, a lot of the lpayers weren't supposed to be there. But, thanks to 3rd party editors we were able to discover them. Now that we have learned some of the effects that a few of them do, they can make for some interesting gameplay.

Enjoy! bleh.gif

QUOTE(Tutorial)
Player 161:
This is the second most powerful player following player 14. This player has the ability to cloak or uncloak any unit in the game. This player has not been exparimented with enough to give you accurate instructions of usage. What we have discovered is that you can't have pre-placed vision of this player, or it may crash. This player is also known for cloaking other units like burrowed zerg units owned by other players.

So, I have given you most of the information I know already. You can now control supply, speed, and other things I have mentioned. Have fun.

Player 161 is no longer valid. Players 1-28 are stable because they are fillers for current player, all players, and unused fillers for categories blizzard didn't make (correct me on that if I'm wrong).
However the effects of players above 29 change from patch to patch becuase Blizzard has to recompile the exe every patch, changing the memory locations.
So you may find a bunch of information in that tutorial inaccurate.

Actually I think placing units for several of the players 13-28 will crash the game...

Some of them do things, like Player 13/14 stuff. (Most of those make the map unable to load, but others alter speed and animation. I have almost tested every unit with 13 and 14, but I got bored and stopped)

umm just wondering, how come it only goes to 256? is that how far staredit.net has experimented, or something else?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LegacyWeapon on 2005-07-07 at 13:07:56
The player number is held by a Byte. The bounds of a byte are 0 - 255.

Report, edit, etc...Posted by LegacyWeapon on 2005-07-08 at 12:10:47
We already know Player 161 is not working now...

That list is for 1.11b and is highly inaccurate as of now due to ignorant reasons making it in the first place.

Certain actions in the game will change the alliance status, scores, upgrades, and various other properties of extended players.
