Hi, i'm new here. I just started to look around the maps here, and one map caught my eye, and i tried downloading it, but it failed for some reason. Can anyone be kind enough to either direct to a forum where i can get help with downloading maps or where i can get a program that can assess irregular maps?

this is the game i want to download:

Thank you for your service.

It's a big map, did you wait long enough?

And we have a forum for this called "Website Feedback, Bugs & Discussion". If it deals with the site, dont you think you should post it there?

How did it fail, as in did you get an error message? If so, what did it say? When I download it, it works perfectly so I'm not really sure what's wrong.

I downloaded it easily too...

What browser (+ version) are you using?

The internet provider is probally going to slow, If you are a 56k user, Then you are going to have to wait a little bit before anything.

It also worked for me. Also if you are trying to download it from internet explorer, That is probally half of the problem... Try switching to FireFox and downloading it from there.

Make sure that your URL displays the www
Clicking on "Download" has worked fine for me during the past year, do you have a firewall with SEN blocked on it?

First of all, thank you very, very much for your advice. But i don't think any of it is the problem.

-There's no difference from the downloading from Internet Explorer and FireFox
-The download is quick and absolute, but the actual file somewhat changes
-The error of this was that the file cannot be opened by the staredit program or any others without saying that a file isn't valid.
-What the error said would look like this:

File Download

Name: CAG5YV0L(Random Digits and Letters)
Type: Unknown File Type, 968 KB
From: www.staredit.net

-When opened up with a program, there's no accessable files, and the results are blank.

I apologize greatly for such a problem, but i want to know these things so that i won't need to bother others in the future, and instead, i can help. thank you for your help.

This appears to be a third party download accelerator (you may not have installed it, it could be spyware). Make sure you stop any download accelerators, or scan with ad-aware.

75% of download accelerators are poorly programmed for direct linkage only. For tracking and other purposes, we have it on a dynamic link.

confused.gif huh? third party accelerator? I'm a bit confused, but i'll check if any recent spy-ware was planted into my computer.
If you have the time, can you tell me an example of this?

Anything that claims to speed up your downloading, or "mamages" your files can potentially be doing this. I'm going more with the acceletor because you say its in both Firefox and IE.
