                                      |Zelshiky Tribe: RPG|

Storyline

Centuries ago, the Zelshiky tribe was in their time of darkness. The darkswarm was spreading amongst their people causing many of them to die or suffer. Children were born with the disease making it almost unstopable. The time of darkness known as "Wolfs Revenge" caused many cruel and unusual crimes to be commited. A civil war began, between the Zelshiky and the Cuatroni (two tribes that were very close to each other they considered each other family) causing many deaths and many loses of sacred animals.

Quinto, the Cheif of the Zelshiky, went out with his family over the hill and sat on a cliff over looking their village and their forest and hoped for a better future. On their way back the child "Oyion" found a gem that glowed and lighted the way home. Oyion found 2 other gems and gave them to Quinto who put them on the highest tree in their village.

Cidel, the priest of the town of Slenzar (enemys of the Zelshiky) decided that the time of the Wolfs Revenge would be perfect to launch an assualt to wipe them out. The Cheif of the Cuatroni decided that he must protect the Zelshiky's people and his own if they were going to survive the attack. He banded together with Quinto and prepared his forces for the assault. Cidels forces were surprised at the amount of Zelshiky their were and were almost completly slaughtered.

Celebrating this victory, the Zelshiky had their ceremony, and worshiped the 3 gems at that very pleasant day. Cidel, still retreating, noticed these 3 gems, and during the night he set out to steal them...

Wow doodle this sounds very interesting! And the storyline is great. The gameplay that you have sounds awesome, from the spells, terrain to the talking to lot's of people. A question that I have about the Conversation, would be that will the messages be random for talking to the civilians? And experiencing battles of both sides would be something that get's my attention in RPG's. biggrin.gif Just wondering will you be able to fit all of this into a 192x192? Good luck with this and keep us updated on this, and can't wait for your screenies to come in to see what progress you are making on this. biggrin.gif

Thanks. I hope Ill be able to fit everything ermm.gif right now the first town takes up a good portion of the bottom right area. Although its only a little bit. Yes, i might make it so the people you can talk to have multiple things to say, and it randomizes between all of them.
Although it might be everything really hard because depending on the time in the game, they say something different as well .

This not only sounds like a good rpg, but it sounds doable! I'd love to see an intro to this like what you described. Sounds fun!
I'm just wondering what purpose beer and rum have in the game. tongue.gif

lol, buying beer and rum is going to be very funny. Its adds a LOT of energy but the more you drink, the more the drunk system is
Drunk System: Four locations on the edges of the map, and it moves you to each corner 1, and does this over and over. It slowly goes away, but theres different stages of this, the more you drink, the more you go around and around biggrin.gif. But it gives you a lot of energy, pritty good.

Alright then, this is my little help log for screenshots I created awhile ago which has helped many people. biggrin.gif

1.) You take a picture of your screen in the Game, by hitting the
"prt scr" button on your keyboard.

2.) The screenshot that you took will be saved in your "Starcraft"
folder under the file extension of .PCX (Ex. screen00.PCX)

3.) Then you will need to change the filename extension to a .JPG
You can do this by downloading Infranview. Here's the link:
Download InfranView Here

4.) Now if your not sure on how to change from a .PCX to a .JPG
just follow these instructions. Open Infranview>Open your screenshot
that you took in the .PCX extension>Then hit "File" "Save as">Then
in that window where it says "Save as type" click on the dropbar
button to bring up a list of file extensions>Choose the extension
.JPG - JPEG Files>There now you have turned a .PCX file into a .JPG

5.) Now to post the screenshot on SEN, just simply go down to the
"File Attachments" in the "Reply" button.

6.) Then hit "Browse" find you newly created .JPG screenshot.
Click on "Open" Then hit "Add This Attachment" right next to the
browse button.

7.) Once that's done, click anywhere on the text display box, where you would type in your stuff, then to the right of the "Add This Attachment" button you should see your file, then click on "Add Into Post" And there you have it, your screenshot has been added. biggrin.gif Hope you will get your screenshots up, from my long explaination. biggrin.gif

Okay, now i have the screen shots a took a while ago, they just needed to be converted.

This is only very early stages of map. And later on, if some one could help me with terrain improvements, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds interesting indeed. What role do you play in the story besides an outsider? Do you have to help the Zelshiky Tribe get the gems back? tongue.gif

Yeah, in the very beginning, your trying to reach the town of "Slenzar" because youve been traveling for days and your very tired (so you go to the closest town). But the thing is, "Slenzar" is the town of Cidel (the priest that was an arch enemie of the Zelshiky Tribe)

You can guess what happens next tongue.gif. But anyway the story unfolds as you go along.
I dont want to give away everything though biggrin.gif .

Did you follow my instructions exactly to transform the .PCX into the .jpg?

Send the map over to me and I'll screen shot it for you using my fancy windows magic tricks tongue.gif

He let me look over the notebook where he was outlining the plot a weeks or so ago, but I never thought it would turn out this good.

I like how the story instead of being outlined and linier is exspository. I also like the open RPG formatish thing you have going on.

Oh ya, and don't go trying to suggest spell ideas, trust me, he has way more then enough, he just didn't want to write them all down tongue.gif

Finally, this is something you can actually look forward to within a reasonable amount of time. doodle3000 is a veteren RPG maker and has much more commitment, free time and computer time then I have.

Call me if you need any trigger help.
