Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> [Sprites:] Unit Wireframe - Glowing Orange
Report, edit, etc...Posted by ViLe(U) on 2005-07-06 at 09:45:14
I have asked many people, and my final resort now is posting a thread about it. I regret doing this since almost every time I ask a question, at least 1 person tells me to go to the map making tutorials to find something that is not there... So please just be up straight about it...

Using sprites, there is a sure fire way to make all units have a glowing orange unit wireframe. I am aware of using HP 3/2, 4/3, 5/4, 500/8, etc... will provide strange unit wireframes but I am looking specifically for glowing orange, never failing, using SPRITES. If anyone could be so kind, please, please answer my question.

First off, to make something glow orange you have to be in the ashworld tileset. Secondly, you can't consistently make terran or protoss unit wireframes glow because they're mostly randomized. Sprites don't have wireframes because you can't click them, but you can do some stuff with unit-sprites. But I think the effect you're looking for is setting a zerg unit's HP to 9 or less and setting the small HP box to something non-zero (all non-zero values have the same effect!).

Darn... Okay, thanks. :/
I just remember seeing a map one of my friends made, every thing was glowing orange... I guess it was luck and took lots of time.

try the hp of: 40/4 i recently discovered it and so far it has a very cool effect on every unit i have tried it on on every tileset. i have seen neon red wireframes with grey glowing spots, yellow wireframes that turn to orange and then back, i have seen solid black that slowly change to yellow and then back again and much more, try it out.
40/4
have fun

all non-zero values have the same effect!
Your "40/4" value is no different from "1/4" or "5/4" or anything nonzero/4.
