This has been in some maps but only a little bit.
It would be awsome if someone made an animation by creating and killing buildings (preferably) in a way that it would show a little animation on the minimap. I saw this in Christmas Bound where the picture of the tree on the minimap has flashing lights all over, very cool. But to focus on that and make something bigger. Ive always had this in my head but I never thought of doing it. Try it out if you want, and post it in this topic.

U_bolt_head's unreleaced mario map was like this.
From what I can gather it was essentially a mini map movie map.
He left it unreleaced because he didn't want to start another map fad (what he considers bound maps to be, which some people also credit him for starting).

Lol, I had an Idea like this a while back. It included text at the bottom of the minimap even. But I was noob then and preplaced 240 locations before I realized that wasn't going to be enough.

i made a mini map movie, it had 62 locations it had like over 300 triggers it was not that long.

Minimap movies take a TON of triggers + locations. I thought of making one once, but then I realized that it's just no worth the time and effort.

No one wants another fad like "Bounds" or those damn "Sexy Pics" maps...
The minimap movies maps would be harder to make but still a waste of time.

The closest to movies I see is just creating units and having them run across the screen making scrolling text. But no one uses it too much. (It is actually quite easy)

I only used like one location on mine...
And i didn't just use one to show off, its much easyer using one location than hundreds. Cause then all you have to do is work with differant numbers not locations.
If your currious the animation i did was about the 32x64 and was Mario running. it had only 3 frames that were looped to make it look like he was running.

yea show us that. I never understood how people made the Chrysals Flash on the minimap it didn't make sense to me. I tried many things but it didn't work. Also. Bolt_head and Laps post you maps man i want to see them.
