I'd like to mention that you could have done better in the second image, Stareditron2000, is give it a more "pixelated" look. The resolution looks much too high for a small screen of something that's meant for 800x600.

I just made it, I think I could have done a better job on the buttons and the minimap though ... make the buttons stand out more and make them all semi-transparent.

I think they really are making alternate PSP colors. White is definately one of them.
