And why on earth would Starforge be 'lagging and bugging' your comp? There is no reason why it shouldn't work perfectly. Try sorting your troubles out with that before rashly resorting to abandoning programs.

You can also use uber@tion to change the color of players. Remember the map must be a brood war map.

i dunno about GUEdit, but I think SF might have a memory leak, either that or its just a very memory intensive program, but for an sc map editor, i dont see why it would be memory intensive, either way, it does tend to lag up your computer... =/

Yeah.

Many times I have loaded Starforge and it took two minutes to load.

How many times have I loaded SF within seconds? That's right, every time I've loaded it. And I only have 512 mb of RAM, hardly something to boast about.

If you want to, you can also try SCM Toolkit, though you may need to pick up a .DLL file or two to use it. I like to have it just to say I have it.

I only have 384 MB of RAM on my older comp.. And I usually have Starforge, Xtra, 2 other games, 4 websites, Ventrilo, MSN, AIM, and then like 3 antivirus programs.. And I have absolutely no problems.

That's actually a lot compared to what most computers have. Most range from 256-64mb still.

i find sf tends to lag it up after being open for awhile, not from the start, it does load up in seconds with 256mb of RAM as well... its still my first choice editor apart from some terrain and location needs, i dont remember the last time i've opened scxe...
