Ok, you've proven that you know how to open up SF or SCMD2 and place sprites.

Try experimenting around with the terrain palette and with extended terrain. I would try doing something simple, like widening a bridge in Jungle tileset so you can get the hang of terraining.

Yeah this is just a bunch of sprites placed all over high dirt. Try messing around with the actual terrain and use as few sprites as possible.

With what? Starforge or the actual Campaign Editor, THEN Starforge.

Use Starforge. Last time I checked you couldn't place tiles with campaign editor O_o. What he's saying is try to make some actual terrain without using sprites. Do like fela teh evil lag goblin and make wider bridges or something.

start yur terrain with scmdraft, then after u get the isom placed, switch to starforge to place tiles...

You could do Isometrical (normal StarCraft) terrain in StarEdit or StarCraft Xtra Editor, and then switch up to Starforge (my favorite for terrain) or SCMDraft 2 (which has a really small terrain palette on 1280x1024!!) to do square/extended terrain.

Id say it looks 10/10, it works 10/10 (if those are doodads, not sprites)
but for complexity and show of skill id give it a 1/10

Doodads can't be overlapped. They are sprites.

Sprite hell. SPRITE HELL. That'll probably just crash the game, not impressive in the least. My first terrain posted on this site was actually, um, TERRAIN.

what is this... This doesn't belong in the terrain forum because its not even terrain...

Make something like a bridge like stated before... The pallet is the terrain pallet it has every square possiable in the tileset... Use that and you can create walls/ extended bridges and such

your nice? lol. Well anyways.. I think you should have tried somthing more original.. like making a building or somthing... An Interesting 1. All you did as many said, was make high land with Dirt Sprites. Try going for more originality man. I know its your first but you could still be creative.. ermm.gif

its ok, but not that much. try putting sprites and more terrain to make it more dtailed and better. Also, the entrance is blocky.

6/10

WARNING : BUMP MASSING NOOB

Nope, I'm not kidding. This thread doesn't deserved to be bumped, its just a mass of sprites, and nothing else, really.

It's alright, kinda plain, lots of sprites. It looks alright though. Couldn't use it in a game you would hit the sprite limit way too fast.
