i think i might know the problem, instead of selecting the unit type in its name then press enter when you finish typing in its name.

007, just re-open a new iscript.bin

Or, get IceCC... IceCC is easier to edit. (In my opinion).

Well, this is what you'll want to do:

Download IceCC

Put it in your C:

And I don't mean in your SC folder. I am talking put the sucker in your C:

Then once you open the IceCC folder, click on IceCCdc (I think it is).

Then wait for the file to load. Once it opens up, look at the decompilke tab.

Once on the decmpile tab, click a couple of units in the far right side.

Once you have done that, click on the decompile button.

Close IceCC.

Find the .txt labeled "iscript"

Open the .txt file.

And once the .txt file is opened, open up the .pdf help file. Located in the IceCC's Help file. Read the entire manual. Then start editing the .bin file, via txt.

NOTE:

Make sure you read the help manual. It is very good for people new to IceCC. It helps with editing. I always have it open when I am editing units. What you can do, is study other units movements/attacks/etc... and incorporate other units animations into different places. The possibilities are endless...

Enjoy!

After working through the night and fighting with command prompt, i finally got the jumping SCV! Woota!!!!

at what X coordinate does a unit become an "Air" unit?

I'm not sure what you mean, I don't think IceCC can transform units into air units. Being an air unit has to do with the Flyer flag in Arse3, movement flag "air" and "hover" (not sure about hover) and the animation level in Arse3.

The animation level is just for show though, it doesn't affect unit movement. Most air units have level 16, so they appear above everything else. Fighters, like the Wraith have level 18, so they show up above bigger ships.
