I've been following the tutorial posted as a sticky (learned so much in so little time, thanks 
) But going threw it again I have a problem when trying edit my units.dat that I've been playing around with
Should I just create a new units.dat completely or is there someway around this error?

Does this happen when you try and save, or when it is saving?

When I try to save, I'll choose where I want to save it and what I want to save it as and then I get the error.

I used to get that EXACT same error but only when I openned the flingy.dat editor

My Arsenal III will random pop errors like that occasionally and after I get an error for anything, more quickly occur. For me, restarting it tends to fix it. Does this always happen when you save?

heh, Arsenal III is buggy, there's nothing you can do to stop that. You really just have to get used to it and hope it works when you want it to, there aren't any known solutions.

It only happens when I open my units.dat that ive been working on and make changes to it. I guess I'll just write down everything I want to do and edit it all in one go. Thanks for the help anyway everyone

It sounds to me like you edited the Unit.dat file with arsenal 0 or something and made it use some invalid data or you got a problem with Arsenal III and need to update its Units.dat and everything

I downloaded the version off of SEN, would that not be the most up to date? Also I've only used Arsenal III to edit the .dat files.

No it is not up to date with the Unit.dat files and everything so you need to update everything in Arsenal III in order for it to work properly (and you mightve corrupted the Units.dat in unzipping progress
