I need help! my World of Warcraft map Topic is nearly finished and i need some help! there is a trigger witch i think is called Centre Loacation! I have no idea how to do this and i will give a breif for what it does: The Hunters (both Teams) have the ability to lay mines! but the thing is i have no idea how to do this! i need some1 to tell me how to do this! thanx

that will only center location on 1 hunter through...so only 1 hunter can lay mines

If each player has 1 hunter, then you need to do it 6 times.

(There is a very complex way that isn't really worth doing).

WTF Legacy? It's going to center the location on the same Hunter if he just copies it six times.

Oh, I didn't read your post completely. He can center it on Current Player, then. It will be there when each player executes his triggers, assuming the center location comes first.

It depends which unit is the "Hunter" and how many the player can own at a time.
Please provide this information so that users can give more specific responses to your original question.

What minimoose is describeing isn't complicated . . . It makes it alot easyer for the most part.

Ok Ok I will put in very simple. the Horde (in this example) have a choice of: Orc Warrior, Tauren Warrior, Troll Hunter and Orc Mage. now the players 4,5 and 6 can choose one of the four and they all get spawned at the same spot! Now how can i get it to centre location on each player and the unit they are? i have it so that its: Player 4 controlls 1 Troll Hunter and player 4 bring atleast 1 ability user to Ability User. Action: Move all Ability Unit for Current Player to Player 4 Ability Unit, Create 3 Hunter Trap at abilitys for player 4 for current player!

Thats all i did for Player 4 so will it work??

Create this trigger for each unit to center the locations on them.

Trigger
Players:
¤ 4, 5, & 6
Conditions:
¤ Current player commands at least one UnitA
Actions:
¤ Move location 'guy' on 'UnitA' owned by Current Player at Anywhere.
¤ Preserve Trigger


Then make sure your acblity triggers are AFTER the center location triggers. You can use the same location for all three players.

Thanx for the help! it works perfect! Anyway i tried that and it is what i am doing! go find my WoW topic and wait for the next update to test the ability! its gonna bring a new level to the game!

You could make it easier and make it center when using the mines, instead of a preserved centering, as well as have all players able to use the same ability when bringing their Ability User to the same location with a single trigger;

Trigger
Players:
¤ All Players.
Conditions:
¤ 'Current Player' commands 'at least 1' 'Troll Hunter'.
¤ 'Current Player' brings 'at least 1' 'Ability User' to 'Ability User Location'.
Actions:
¤ Move all 'Ability User' for 'Current Player' to 'Player Ability Unit'
¤ Move location labelled 'Ability' on 'Troll Hunter' for 'Current Player' at 'Anywhere'.
¤ Create '3' 'Hunter Trap' at 'Ability' for 'Current Player'.
¤ Preserve Trigger.


The trigger would work for all players as long as they use the same locations(like when using the ability, the Ability User starts in the same place).

I have it all worked out! so thats it for this topic! it can go out because i got it all set up and got it working! now all i need is to find some WoW sounds to put in my map! can any1 help?

Ure kidding him right moose? u just do different locations, like laymine1, laymine2, etc, and in the trigger u just do the same thing for different players and use different locations.

We thought there was more than one "hunter" for each player. We don't play Warcraft(with the exception of Warcraft II).

you just use that trigger if you ever want to move a location to a specific area using some kind of unit as an anchor for that area. like move center location on hydralisk at location anywhere or location 01 etc.

its used if you've ever seen a map that keeps its screen on a specific unit or if you have ever seen a map that has a unit that seems to be have an exploding trail behind it

Is this a map for war craft 3? thats interesting i have never seen someone post help for war craft. Thats fun stuff. I never acually attempted to Map make in war 3.. but i was never able to get on war 3 bnet because my disk is burned and that part messed up..

Well me neither! i just felt like a hard project and my love for the warcraft series made me do it! i havent even got the game yet so tgat was another problem! it aint really that much of a MMORPG when i think about it! its just a war between 2 sides! if you actully play it then when you make enough money to start raiding and attacking the game can get really intresting! Try doing quests for example and you are looking for some herbs and next second you are running from a mob of Orcs after you! Then you get 2 choices! stay still and try to fight your way out and make alot of money or you could run and try to find help! see my point? it is a mix of a rpg and defense/offense! Version 2 will actully let you create defenses for a town! how does that sound??
