I am not 100% sure but I think that it ensures that folloving action will never be executed. Like you make a trigger-
all players>always>give 1 mineral, preserve trigger.
player1>never>give 1 mineral
So player 1 will never get his minerals. But I am not sure. I never use never condition!
Do U think I should try it out, or would it be a waste of time??? I don't think fidling around with other peoples theories is a waste of time so maybe you would like to fiddle around with my querry...

Sure I will try it out wait few minutes!
ADDITION:
No I was wrong it doesn't work that way! So I don't know can it be used somehow! Nope can't imagine a thing.
This is wat it said when u press Help on scxe
NEVER
The Never condition can be used to temporarily disable actions for testing. A trigger with the Never condition will not activate at any point.
I thought that might be what it is for. okay now whoever knows how to lock topics do it to this.

It means it's time to use the
Search button.
No, it means you never use the search button.
In short, Never(); makes sure that the trigger never fires. The listed actions can happen however, but only as part of another trigger.
Whats the point of aving a trigger with actions that dont happens? Simply dont make the trigger!?
I make a trigger and test it, it doesn't work. I make another trigger that would conflict with it. I put a never in the first one so that it doesn't fire. If the second one doesn't work, I can delete that and take the never out of the first one again.
Also, before 1.04, there was no trigger commenting. A Never + Display Text was a great way for doing that.
Just think of it as a "test" condition. It plays no real role in maps but makers use it to test triggers that wouldn't fire because of another trigger.

Blizzard did this in several of their scenario maps. Open up "defenders of the galaxy" and look at the triggers for force 4.
An alternative is to what Blizz did in that map is to use Comments instead of a Never-Display trigger.
NEVER MEANS IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN LIKE VICTORY OR DEFEEAT!!! its simple... instead of makeing a trgger where u have to wait 999999999 then defete if you NEVER wanted a defeat then u just put never.....what a dumb question....
Why would you wait 999999999?
In short, Never makes the trigger inactive, but still there to take up space.

To the topic creator> Ignore noobs that spam this, for the last time Never(); DOES NOT forbid the listed actions from occurring.QUOTE(Shadow181 @ Jul 17 2005, 09:06 AM)
