This my first terrain, not to bad I think, not to blocky a couple minor scrapes, but im off to bed...let me know what u guys think...
It doesn't feel like a waterfall. You used like 500 sprites and unless I'm imagining things, there is like no height difference between the top and bottom. Besides, waterfalls are a dime a dozen nowadays.
*Edit* However, your bridge at the top gave me this bloody great idea for some RPG terrain.
its different cuz its not isom, but it still looks real, and even though there are a bit too many waterfall sprites, u placed them good, but u need cliffs and less rock and tree sprites (preferably none)...
It has way too much sprites...
Too many sprites for the waterfall, but I love how you used the trees and rocks to make the ground appear to slope.

Leave it cliffless.

ya it was my first terrain, and atleast someone noticed that it was isom which makes a waterfall very hard to do.....I can take all the sprites off and it still looks pretty good, so I'll post that with somemore scenic stuff with it....trying to get a dark haunted forest look, like from zelda for super nintendo...man that game rocked.....
anyone got any ideas on a swamp without using any sprites...I was thinking mud terrain mixed with some small water patches mixed throughout?
Find the sprite for the vespene geyser gas, and stick a bunch of those in different places. I don't know if you can use the creature doodads from the tar in the desert tileset (I don't know if they're sprites), but it would add a nice touch. Maybe also add in some larva, and some cloaked High Templars wandering around (I just had the idea that their glow might still be visible, but I'm not sure). Hope this stuff helped you out.

heh not bad, but it needs some height, like for example the Legacy of Sauron Trailer they showed a waterful, it looked good, add some height and it'll feel more like a waterfull but gj anyways

try inverted raised jungle with mud and maybe somelight water
I like the bridge, but the waterfall doesnt look like the water is 'falling'. and there are to many sprites.
The only thing that's bad about that waterfall, since there's too many sprites, it just has those ugly lines on top and left of each bullet sprite.
Try not to use sprites to cover bad spots.
Like everyone said, too many sprites. The elevation doesn't change so I don't really get a waterfall feeling.
From Far Away It Looks Like A Waterfall
now that is the example of how much sprites can you get in a game
woot the waterfall that falls from the same elevation
let me do this: the human eye is able to distinguish the dimensions of the space; the space itself has 3 dimensions that's what we call 3D but when it comes to just watch a flat screen(computer) the human eye becomes tricked because to the images it sees have shadows and shapes that makes it ideal for the brain to send the order to the eyes to tell him he is watching to the 3 dimensions of the space
now why did i said this because that's what you have to do fool the eye and make it think that the waterfall actually comes from a higher elevation cause if you don't it will only be a river with way too much sprites and that it's reflecting the sunshine in the water ;D better luck next time 3/10
It would be better if it was bigger.

way too many sprites its way to busy calm it down and it will be much better

In this case, bigger is not better. And this ain't a waterfall at all. :l

Ya it's more like EXTREME RAPIDS, sorry I just felt like calling it extreme.
on topic: make a large cliff, put water at the top and bottom, then connect it with the eldfire's
Oh sweet jesus! MY EYES!! MY EYES!!! Sorry, but that waterfall needs some work, i suggest clicking that little icon that looks like a piece of paper, i believe its labeled 'New' or something like that...
You should add some terrain that looks like its falling downward, this would minimize some of the sprite usage. ??
