I think that by posting WE you could at least write that you are an american! You know you are not the only country in the world nor SEN! And you should better make a poll.

Polls are too confining, in my opinion. I think this discussion is better suited for Serious Discussion.

>>Topic Moved.

As for presidents, I'm much more of a fan of Napolean than any American Leader. Maybe George Patton, but he wasn't a president, so you know...yea.

...

Okay I'll just move the topic. happy.gif

Tie between George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Anyone who says different is crazy.

Honestly, how is Jimmy Carter better than Washington? Washington is the only president in US history to be unanimously elected (receieved every electoral vote).

He also made the presidency what it is, instead of making it a throne.

Uhhhhh, you do know that he was the 1st president right? Cause I don't think counting every electoral vote is gonna really count for him. If you said something more about the constiution, ya that would make a lot more sense.

I agree with you to an extent. Most the founding fathers treated it like an actuall presidentary, instead of a throne.

The reason he got "unanimously picked" is because he was the general of the war, and the people felt like he deserved it.

Jus proving his popularity.

George Washington could have set the President up as a king if he had wished. During his terms in office, he denied many powers/titles offered to him, such as being called His Highness, the President of the United States (Washington chose Mr. President) and other powers.

Men like these occur so rarely in our history, it is to do their memory a great disservice not to remeber them.

I siad it before and I'll say it again the greatest president ever was Amilio Aguinaldo, a portugese leader. He was originally banished from portugal for crimes he had committed. After that though, he leads american troops into portugal and conquers his old nation. Then feeling sorry for the people, he drives the U.S. troops out of portugal and makes portugal a democracy. Not any of the presidents of the united states, even with the boosted reputation, our forfathers have never come close to accomplishing what this man did.

What a b*astard; he betrayed the troops that helped him. If he were still alive, I would like to kill him. smile.gif

The best: probably Jefferson.

ADDITION:
Okay, b*stard and b*tch are both censored. Those aren't even bad words; you see them in PG movies.

ADDITION:
test: crap

Jefferson was very intelligent, but in my opinion he could have made better decisions. Many of his presidential endeavors failed.

I'll give one semi-good comment to Bush. If he were crazy like Hitler, what do you think would happen to the majority of Americans, or the non-Caucasians? Think of all the gas chambers needed for over a hundred million people closedeyes.gif

Yes, that is a racist comment, I suppose, but either you're too stupid to realize that it was aimed at making fun of most conservatives' racism and thus undeserving of that Report button, or you're smart enough to realize what it was and won't press it.

Woohoo. Our best president was Lincoln. He got this country back together through the worst war it has ever encountered (although dying shortly afterwards), and although it was more propaganda than anything, he managed to free the slaves. He did a bunch of other things, but I'm too tired to list them.

George washington is best for obvious reasons,
then comes Franklin D roosevelt cuz he pulled us out of Great Depression and brought us wealth
and so on...

....

... and least favorite would be the notorious Herbert Hoover due to his lack of action during the great depression.

Clinton was a good president, and I have much respect for him because he was president during my lifetime, but he just can't compare with Washington, Lincoln, and (ok) FDR.

The Democratic Party now holds many of the views held by the Republican Party of the 1860's. A complete repolarization of partisanship took place in the 1960's. If you support Lincoln's party, you should be wiht us Democrats.

The Serious Discussion forum is not a place for sarcastic, worthless junk.

For those who don't know, William Henry Harrison caught pneumonia during his innaugural and died 5 weeks later. His vice president, John Tyler, completely betrayed his party and essentially saw the end of the Whigs.
