As many people know, the popular game, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has been recalled due to the fact that there was a way to uncover "pr0n" by downloading somethig off of the internet. The game will now become rated AO. First of all, why the heck would someone put something like that into a game and expect no-one to find it? My mother says that she hopes that Rockstar is sued so many times that they end up going bankrupt and out of business. I personally think it was very Immature to put something like that into a game, not to mention the fact that ESRB is going to have to go thorugh a lot more measures in rating games now.

Anyways, give your thoughts/opinions here.

Developers leave :poo: they aren't going to add in the game all the time, take starcraft as a huge example. Besides, why the hell would people go messing around with GTA? It's already a great game, just leave it alone. I think people are over-reacting and Rockstar didnt do anything wrong. The game is not ment to be hacked in such a way.

But, at the same time, if Rockstar new that eventually people were going to try to edit the game (Take Starcraft Mods for example) then why did they add that into the game as a secret, it just makes no sense to me...

And chu, what do you mean by they did nothing wrong? the put content that should be rated AO unto an M rated game, they knew it would eventually be uncovered.

Heh, I heard about this a while ago, it's pretty funny, you can "tag" the girl in different places and whatnot.

This is a load of crap. I cant believe this. Whatever, I still have GTA SA, VICE CITY, 3, and 1, so the government can die. I have never seen actual nudity in the game, just light sexual contents.

Anyway, on a news report, they were talking about it, but they were showing little pieces of GTA 3, VC, and SA. (In the background of the news reporter talking.) But there's a problem, GTA's are being recalled because of sexual content, but there was no sexual content in 3 and below at all, so why would they show GTA 3!?! Ignorant Pigs...

I hate everyone. I hate The Man. I hate restrictions. This is my life, dont tell me what to play. I was looking foward to the next GTA so badly...

To say what we can and can't do. Cause you guys did REAL great back in the 60's-80's. And now it's our turn to keep up the thousand year old human tradition of partying and acting stupid at a young age, but no. You want it to have YOUR way. You want us to see what you WANT us to see. Not what WE want to see. And all that does, is make us more curious, or make what we want to see, more cool. That's it.

Some of our parents are self richteous hypocrites at times. But compared to the ones that raised them, they're a lot better if you ask me. But their still self richteous hypocrites at times. I'm lucky mine are not like that. Otherwise, I would go crazy in a stupid ass teenage way, and do stupid ass teenage rebel things.

How would they know that people would rip the game onto the computer and start messing with it? How often do you see people actually tearing games appart and modding them? Seriously it's not as common as you might think. And not only that but it infringes on copywrites and other laws.

But still, who gives a fark? It's not offending me that they put it in there. I hope they continue making great games.

Ive heard of nude Modifications on games like The Sims, OMG MAKE TEH SIMS AO!!!111OMG!!!

Here's the parents big excuse right here:
"I thought the game was just shooting cops, and stealing cars, I didn't know there would be badly animated nudity in it. I am down right offended! How am I supposed to raise my 17 year old son!? He's not supposed to see that kind of stuff yet!"

No, you dont get it though. There is no nudity in the game, but some kind of mod download on the internet could make nude scenes in the game... Thats like making Starcraft AO because of games like sex with kerrigan...

Anyway, there have been lots of bugs like this found in many games.
I don't see how this is anything special.

The AO rating dont do much.

If its rated M, you have to be at leasst 17. If its rated AO, you have to be at least 18.

Thanks for all the opninions everyone, but still, most parents are offended because most of my friends, who their parents kill them if they find pr0n are very offended that the game has nudity. The thing that pisses me off the most is that Playboy: the mansion has waaaay more not stuff than San andreas and it was aolmost rated teen *Gets mad at ESRB*

my conclusion:

ESRB are the worst game raters. Ever.

ESRB ratings suck. They need to be adjusted, or completely redone, because many times they're not very accurate.

A RTS game that I play was rated T for Violence. (Ships blowing up, no people, no blood or anything). The sequel, which had the same amount of violence was rated E.

I think they need more specialized ratings, depending on what content is in the game. And I also think that gap between T and M is too large, they should have something inbetween.

Halo 2 In specific, on a level (Relic) there was supposed to be a gate that prevents warthog rushes, but they took it out. But it's still in the game.
