I do not know where to begin with such a subject. So often on these forums (which is not a problem necessarily) there are topics dealing with hatred, fear, and anger. I have decided to make a topic regarding love.

What exactly is love? For me there is no greater force. There is no greater power or motivation. Vengeance and anger are but a single raindrop compared to the hurricane of love. What moves me so in such a manner? In my blissful state I don't really care... for their is love. For those of you who have experienced it, you know what I speak of. For those of you who haven't, you can only wonder, and by wondering you will always fail to do this emotion justice.

For those of you who think love is nonexistent, or for those of you that think it is simply a series of electric pulses in the brain, I call you fools and look upon you with sorrow.

There is this girl, and to me she is a woman. Oh, you all know that girl (or that guy for you girls out there, or a combination of these two options for the rest of you). They can make your day, crush your hopes, lift you up, get you to laugh at something entirely absurd that you would otherwise scoff at. It feels like you draw your energy just from seeing them. To paraphrase a certain Biggs Darklighter, they make us feel like we "could take on the Empire."

You find that you need only the thought of them as motivation for anything. Without them you feel as weak as a newborn babe.

They take your steel exterior and rip it down without batting an eyelash, and you giggle and stammer and simply want more. As long as there is love, everything is perfect.

On a more personal level, I wish for nothing more than to offer her the stability and happiness she deserves, which is to say more than anyone could possibly hope to give. Yet I'll try, because my love is all I need to do anything at all.

I am... happy...

It's like waking up to Christmas, my Birthday, Easter, and Thanksgiving... every waking second of my life...

I guess I am a fool. Cause the love you speak of, I too have went through multiple times. Infact, I believe everyone here, has fallen in love with something like this before. You can try to act like, your love is special, and all that good happy ending movie stuff, with the butterflies, and pretty flowers, will come true. But don't get your hopes up. They're only destined to fall. Unless you find a great woman, but just because I give that chance of hope, doesn't instantly mean pretty green meadows for you.

So go ahead, act like I never been through love before, and that I won't understand it. Cause trust me kid, I understand it more than you.

However, it is a great feeling to be in love. I won't deny that. Cherish it while you still can.

Love isn't a word to use lightly, Alpha. The top of love he's talking about I think only happens once in a lifetime.

I agree. Love is a very powerfull emotion. It can make, and most certianly break you.

It can rip your heart out and smash it to tiny bits, or it can make it grow three sizes bigger.

I myself have experienced love about three or four times... And everytime, my heart got smashed into tiny bits and pieces... Until this time...

My beautiful Oraya... I have never seen her in real life but I know that her smile is as beautiful as the pinkish-red sunset in the west... I have never seen her eyes, yet I know they they shine with the beauty of a thousand blue saphires.... I know that when she smiles, there will always be a new found glory in the wake of her smile...

Yes.. I am madly in love with her and I have never seen her in real life, only pictures.. And she lives four or five states away from me...

So my word of advice to people is to not to fall to quickly for someone... Let it take time...

However, she leaves for college this fall and that makes me both extremely sad for myself and glad for her at the same time.

I've always told myself that if there is anyone out there that will make her happier than I can, let them have love. I haven't yet though. It's just that we're so alike, and so... I don't know how else to put it - perfect for each other.

She's always there to comfort me in moments of distress, and I try to return the favor as much as I possibly can.

Even after nearly an entire year in love, I still find her presence intoxicating to the fullest.

An Kellimus, I had been attracted to her for an entire year before I actually fell in love. I just had this dream that made me realize how very dear I hold her to me. In essence, she had done something to upset me (in the dream), but I was far from upset. I just sat there for wonderful, blissful minutes in my dream, holding her and assuring her that everything was alright. When I... was getting tests to see if I had cancer, the mere thought of her was calming and relaxing and I realized that even if I did have cancer, she would be there.

She asked me to come to church way back last fall, and of course I did quite gladly. I even joined it recently, and for once I can say that religion seems to make sense. It's a Lutheran church, so it's pretty liberal and for that.

Her presence is soothing and her words are a liquid pleasure that permeates every last inch of my body.

Yes I have been infatuated to other girls, but that entirely lust. When you're in love... you know without a doubt that you're in love. And good Lord... I am in love!

I dont really think i have ever fallen into REAL love. Most of the time when i think i fall in "love" with someone, it's lust because i'd be like "omfg she's so hot."

i felt love only once in my life. and it ate me alive. love is aevil beast that devouers you and all that you thougth you were. love takes all and never gives anything back. i hate love. and, yes, people DO take it lighlty. people use it all the time. usualy they use it wrong, like.....i love that computer......and all that fun :poo:. the worst is when a girl uses it to get what they want. " i will love you forever if you......" that kind of bull :poo: is what getts people in trouble. i hate that word in all of its entiertie.

Love is also something in which more than half of the songs out there are about. Kinda interesting. Wonder why it wasn't really the case back in the old days.

Back in the old days the themse of songs were much more hidden. Quite a few songs are about love, especially the Blues.

I guess I've been in love. If you mean "can't stop thinking of her" and other stuff I read here. But I beat it out of me, really. I MADE myself not to love anybody -_-
