I have 256x256 map with tons of triggers. Its 300kb... almost half a MB.
I dont use sound stuff at all... only map and triggers and locations and such stuff... my question is how to compress this map.

Don't compress it, it's fine the way it is considering its a huge map. If your really desperate use Uberation's compress button .

.... but is there any way to make it smaller ?

If you have ever added sounds, and removed them, it is likely the files are still in your MPQ, but inaccessible. You would need to compact the archive with WinMPQ or Ladik's MPQ Editor.
If you have lots of triggers, each trigger uses 2400 B space in the uncompressed CHK. With compression, this drastically decreases in a lot of cases, but if you simply have huge amounts of dissimilar triggers, the compression will not be efficient. To decrease size, you could look over your triggers, preferably with SCMDraft's TrigEdit, and try to see where you can save some space. For example, if you use lots of triggers for P1, P2, P3, and P4, each having these same players respectively in the conditions and actions, just use one trigger instead of four by checking ownership to these four players, and using "current player" in the conditions and actions. You can also try to delete trigger comments and shorten strings.

Compression not involving sounds just means deleting extra stuff in triggers, namely, triggers with a Never condition, Comments, etc., but they don't always bring the size down greatly.

What kind of triggers are you using anyway?
Are you sure you could not accomplish the same effect with fewer triggers?

Yep im bretty sure. There is like all unit (i mean ALL possible units in starcraft original version) creation and deletion triggers for all 8 players seperately, and effects and stuff like that.
I used Pro Edit compression. It compressed about 4 KB...
And i didnt use sounds.
Seems 256x256 maps are just supposed to be big.

256x256 begin as 84 KB even if they're just a blank map.

Using uberation's protection will make it smaller.
