Legacy of a Shadowlion

Basic Info:
-3 Player/s
-Snow Tileset
-Rpg
-Demo
{Just over a half hour minimum}

Tdnfthe1's Review Notes:
Defenitely one of the greatest layouts for an Rpg I've ever seen. In pure opinion, anyone who loves a real Rpg(that develops) should try this map and see it for themselves. For one I loved the Introduction, the music, black background text, and the way the story begins. Right when the game started I was somewhat inticed by the main setup. A unique spell system and storyline walkthrough. In opinion, you could put this map under Beer_keg's "True Rpg" column. I very rarely got stuck or confused about things in this game, which makes this is a strongpoint in making a productive map. Of course there were stunning parts and scenes, but it all flowed together perfectly with everything else. Music, story, fighting, spells, and defenitely some of the best terrain I've seen implemented into an rpg. Personally I love Isometric terrain(no sf/scm draft stuff) and using just regular terrain he made some very mood electing settings. When I look back on this map, I sincerely am ashamed only by the fact it wasn't completed, the story was defenitely becoming intresting to me. Should I change one thing about the map, I'd add in the ability to use the damn Tavern(there is one, but it's useless).

Tdnfthe1's Rating:

Trigger Complexity (7/10)
Terrain (8/10)
Creativity (10/10)
Storyline (8/10)
Game Systems (8/10)
Miscellaneous (6/10)

Tdnfthe1's Overall Rating: (8/10)

Sadly this rating by me is somewhat smaller, but It's a pain in the arse to type paragraph after paragraph. Well this raps up another map Review from Tdnfthe1.
I reccommend playing this map if you love good rpgs, and want to see how one could be done nicely. I also don't reccommend this for any of our slower or noobish members here at SEN, since this does use the dropship skill system, and that can be quite overwhelming for the average gamer.
After you've tried the map, come back and give me your review of it, until next time!

Yeah, real good. I wish this was finished. I also recommend playing this with all three players, the game is MUCH easier with more people. Just remember to save. wink.gif

I, too, give an 8/10.

Having played this game many times through testing, I can say it is one of teh best put together maps I've ever seen. Definately giving this a 9/10. It may seem high, but once you've experienced the gameplay, and see everything there is to see, you may agree. my only hope is that some day Shadow will finish this map.

By the way did you guys know he's returned to starcraft? We might be able to make him finish this. Pressure that guy into finishing it!

yea this might be the wrong place to talk about avatars, but yea avatars are different. I've kept the avatar for a while now.

Well back to the map, thanks for the interest in iit. I don't have any starcraft stuff with me but I will be planning on getting a new starcraft
+bw disc sometime this. After I buy the discs, I'm going to plan on remaking Shadowlion. It's going to made from the beginning, but this time I'm going to clean upu the map a bit more. The map will be the same like the demo yet different in gameplay because I'm going to try to make it a little less hack and slash, and such.
