Hey guys, working on my RPG again, first big campain/rpg thing so im not that good at it, i wantd to know if there is any possible way to make the ion cannon look like its shooting? (i mean invisible wraith)

You can get a thin unit like a scout shooting out from the cannon. Put a location near the cannon tip and just use the create trigger to make scouts and send them flying.

But! the only problem with that is, i have 3000000000000 scouts flying around who "STOP" and shoot at a target not destroy it in one hit and dissapear, think about maybe a wraith who doesn't move at the cannon tip and does 1000000 damage per laser

Anyone know how to make a wraith stay put? Or how to slow down its fire rate?

you can make a wraith stop by making a trigger that always moves it into a location even when he is in that location the only thing is that i am thinking it might not attack MIGHT very very possible that it does you can't have 300000000 units the most units you can make is ...don't really remember but it's 255 units per player so it must be around 2040 biggrin.gif made that in my mind took like 5 minutes biggrin.gif

you can always disable a battlecruiser hmm does a battle cruiser cloaks? don't know:D you can disable a siege tank(siege mode) so it will be like the cannon is shooting bombs omg! the cannon shooting bombs! omg!
keep trying maybe i'll post a map when i can give me 30 minutes

You could have a trigger always sending
the wraith to a location at the tip of the cannon,
which will keep it in the same spot,
and if your lucky might slow its rate of fire down because its being moved to the location all the time.

ADDITION:
LOL, well the seige tank would be the most simple way to do it.
But, if you wanted use the wraith it would work better if you made the location at the tip of the cannon a 1 x 1 square and have it sense if the wraith isnt there then have the wraith move to the location, so it would have a chance to fire.

Good idea, and No, BC don't cloak but i thought of a good idea for another mission, I could use a Enginneer bay or w/e, placed a invisible carrier that can't move and it'll look like small fighters are commin out to defend the hangar.

BTW thx for the help, im gonna map my new mission (2 to be exact) And fix my door problem on mission 4, So if anyone downloaded the Beta Test zip i posted i'll have an update of mission 4 with the fixed door

U can also make it bound style, with preferably a science vessel. Every few seconds, create one sci vessel at location (X)
Destroy any sci vessel at location (X)
Wait for 500 milliseconds
And do the same until it reaches where u want it to reach. And remember to put preserve trigger.

what he wants to do is that the ion cannon shoots as it wants
making it the bound style will consume a lot of locations depending on the attack range you want to give the cannon and it will take a lot of triggers also
