As most of you already know, Scmdraft has a terrain converter for any terrain type to another. And as most of you also know, it works best converting between the expansion terrains and jungle terrain, but doesn't work well with converting between these types, badlands, and space platform (we're ignoring installation because you can't build there). I am trying to convert some maps to badlands (don't ask why) and was wondering if anybody could help me out with this. I doubt it would be easily done since badlands and space platform are completely different from the jungle/exp terrain sets (which are practiaclly the same both hex-wise and terrain-wise), but if anybody can help in any way to convert between these terrain types, I would be very grateful (especially jungle to badlands).

I'm sure you have read the specs, as you seem to know a lot already about this. The thing is, the hex values for the tiles are so different, a 1-to-1 conversion is very hard to achieve, and often ruins your ISOM section as well. Your best bet would probably be to jack up your desktop resolution, fire up SCMDraft, and with the source map and a blank map open simultaneously, copy the terrain freehandedly.

That is, of course, unless SI or Heimdal comes in blazing with a radical new tool they designed especially for this purpose, but have never publically released before happy.gif
