Ok, try ordering it to move to any location, as for the invisible beacons, just disable doodad state of it, then give the players looking at it vision of it (with detectors) for 0ms, then it has to belong to a player who doesn't have vision to the player. So basically you disable it, let the players see it w/detector, and remove the detector. If the liftoff thing doesn't work (that was a theory), then just center a location on it, then remove it and create a copy of it with the property in transit. With the EUDs (see concepts "Triggers of god") you could even get it's HP correct.
