In a map that I'm currently making, I use the flag beacon function that allows you to teleport the beacon.
Though, for some reason, every time I test the map, after a while of playing the map, flags appear on the flag beacons and I can't teleport them anymore.

So, I have several questions:
1. What's causing flags to appear on flag beacons?
2. Is there a way to prevent to flags from appearing on them?

I don't know why they appear but I know the trigger. I always use this trigger. And you can do the flag beacon function only one time.

this needs a location for every beacon.



Trigger
Description:
kill flags way1
Players:
¤ any
Conditions:
¤ flag owner bring at least 1 flag to beacon
Actions:
¤ kill 1 flag at beacon for flag owner
¤ preserve trigger


this kills all flags for flag owner but don't need a location



Trigger
Description:
kill flags way2
Players:
¤ any
Conditions:
¤ flag owner bring at least 1 flag to anywhere
Actions:
¤ kill all flag at anywhere for flag owner
¤ preserve trigger

well usually removing flags does help but the teleport thing...... people some what disable the beacon becuace of that.

1. After 5 or 10 minutes or something flags appear stopping the beacons from teleporting again.
2. No, I believe many people have been looking for ways around this but no way has been verified.

I said preventing the flags from appearing - so that I'll be able to use the beacons for teleport, if I just wanted to remove the flags I wouldn't mention the teleportation, infect, I wouldn't ask anything at all, I know how to remove units. tongue.gif

Anyway, seeing as there's no way around this, is there anything else that I can use to teleport on the whole map? Scanner sweeps can't be centered with a location and they reveal an area, and disruption web obviously has a too small range...

Maybe you could create a new flag beacon when the flags appear. Like kill the present and create a new one. If the flags appear again preserve the trigger.

the flags are created beacuse the beacons were made for Capture the Flag and you have a 10 minute timer to place the beacon anywhere.
