Anyway, so as not to make this a blatant plug (even though I worked so hard on it :cry: ), I'm celebrating my new site by hosting a weekly Starcraft miniature mapping contest. If you don't have huge starcraft skills or patience, then no problem: the contests are small, theme-based events where you try to make the best map implementing the theme(s) I've specified within the week-long time limit. More than enough time to do some quality stuff.
If you're interested, then simply email me and I'll add you to the list! I'll need at least 12 signups to get it rolling first, though. This should be fun!
Ok, and now for the site itself: I still have work to do on it, mainly with the scripting/functionality, grammar/spelling/editing, asthetics (minor), features, and of course, I plan to implement a feature allowing you to leave comments on each section of the page, and hopefully some forums to round it all off.
I have more than just Starcraft stuff too on it, including some of my works from other games, some of my art creations, a humor section, links, etc., so it should be a well-rounded package. I'll let you decide on that, though.

Gah Id love to take part but the only time im actually on the computer anymore is at work. Once college is out for the semister (next month) I will have more time for mapping.

I think the contest sounds loike fun and if i still were mapping i would join in but right now i tend to not play or map for starcraft mutch lately

It doesn't have to have any objectives or playing involved, just to be a total drug trip of a map to whatever extent possible in Starcraft (or your abilities). This can include stuff like dancing units, reaver scarabs flying everywhere, exploders, background music (keep the filesize down though, please)... anything! Party on!<p>This contest ends at 12AM (Pacific), 5-2-2004.

I've extended the date to May 2nd, since I figure 3 days is a bit narrow to do something quality if you don't have a whole lot of time, so party on!

Welp, the deadline has come and gone, and nary a map to be seen (except bolt's). I'd like to ask what went wrong, but that would require me to have some plan of revisiting or learning from it to repeat it in some form, which I think I've about given up on at this point... at least for SC.
