its me laps(U) anyways for those people who don't know what "socom" is

Socom info

there is some of the socom basics, now here are some screen shots on the game

here is where your options are chosen

you can switch your weapons in game

you can use detonated weapons for stealth

to detonate it press your detonate button!

you can turn on your scope, if you do you can't move

shoot grenades!

[attachmentid=12682]
aww grenades only last seven seconds!

anyways sorry about the whole "white stuff" on there, i don't know why that happens. but i hope you like it...

This looks awesome. It totally kicks my arena map's ass. I hope you finish this, it seems like it be an instant hit.



How are you switching the weapons? Any specific style (i.e. shuttle system)?

I remember when you first attempted the ideas of Socom Maps. You're coming along nicely. The only problem I see is that when people switch weapons they get a new unit which has full hit points. Besides that it looks promising, make different arenas and game modes if you're making it similar to the multiplayer experience. If you require ideas for terrain I can help here and there(having played socom 1 and 2 way too much blushing.gif ). Goodluck hope you do good with this.

To change weapons without having changes to the health, etc. I have only 2 ideas...

1. Using EUD triggers(If it gets patched... too bad)

2. Use virtual HP

Make the Infested Terrans Attack with an Order action, it should make them explode so that if you're too close you get blown up too. biggrin.gif

Also, try out the Back  mark in the text to center them.

Looks like it would be a cool map. But I don't fully understand how the scope would increase accuracy in an SC map.
Oh and btw, I think the white stuff popped up because you alt+tabbed. It happens to me once in a while when I alt+tab out of sc.

This looks good! The UED triggers could come in handy on this map. Socom was a good game, and I hope that the SC version of it is just as good. Good Luck.

looks good, cant wait for it to come out, i love socom and i have gr2 i play it all the time over xbox live. i suggest u add a stealth feature to the make, like make him turn into a zergling named 'bayonet' and it can burrow and stuff, and i think scope should be called 'binoculars'. but i cant wait for ur map gl with it tongue.gif

well the scope is to basically detect any burrowed units (pmn mine, trip mine) stuff like that. and i am going to use virtual unit health, and im trying to add a range system for the grenades, the longer you hold your wait thing, the farther it shoots.

i was thinking of making a "sniper" mode, if you go into it your normal unit will be turned into a civilian, then you are engaged into the sniping mode, there will be a location centered on the civilian and if a enemy unit go's in there a unit will be placed into your sniper area and BAM!

here is the beta version , alot of stuff don't work on it, terrorist triggers are all messed up, no round system, breifing isn't done...but here is how it looks like.

add an s in Terrorist in the forces

the Terrorist snipers can cloak

Dude you could add like a Forest sounds, u know since there in the forest it'd be realistic, just a cool idea happy.gif
