Hi im making a new UMS game and its about you (the player) are a terran civilian seeking to become one of the terrans most used infantry unit... Throught the game you go through obstacles (no not like a bound) and prove if you are worthy of truely being a terran marine!
( please post your feedback on this idea im also late going to put the map in so you can view it!)

What type of map will it be like? RPG? If it's going to be an RPG, then you should put in some defense-like minigames (you are training to be a marine aren't you?).

yea include different scenarios to fight through and have your marine command the troops

Yeah, use a dropship system to tell them to move to a location and use the Order trigger set to Attack for that. Use a call back function too.
:poo:, this makes me wanna make a Raven Shield type map

I think D-Von(U) already made a map like this. It was simi-popular among "pubbies". Well good luck, and hope D-Von doesn't get mad at you.

yea things in there for sure is how to retreat (kinda funny thing), Kill a zelot with one marine (Marine Tactics) Using offensive bunkering, and yes im probaley gonna take the idea of commanding toops to using becons to order them to defend a certain Building (note: you are not going to be ordering Player marines just Computers Marine to defend,to avoid any fights) and if you post any more ideas ill make sure to give u credit in the game

We have two copies of MBC in the DL database, one under RPG and one under Other Maps.

select save to disk instead of open, then put it in C:/PROGRAM FILES/STARCRAFT/MAPS then it should be under play custom at the bottom in starcraft

In the SC universe the Zergs don't advance that way though, they only morph. You could always try Protoss. When you die, you turn into a Dragoon!

Something you might use for reference are the bootcamp scenes from Starship Troopers. Heck, you could even include the co-ed showers.

Don't give up on Marine Boot Camp. Try and contact D-Von(U) and ask him if he'd mind if you made another Marine Boot Camp... He might even encourage you. I think I played it back in the day on b.net, In my opinion it could've been better but then i remind myself if i did it, the map wouldn't been as great. From what I remember there were alot of difficult but fun 'exercises.' Most of the exercises don't strike me as something Marines' would have to complete at a Marine Boot Camp.

wehn you think about it starcraft marines dont do ANYTHING to prepare, they just go out there and are lucky if the survive more than 8 seconds with stimpacks

U could add Stealth mission, and stuff, hmm i dunno
